The 1/16 scale Bandai is in hand and will be built later this year. I have a diecast 1/43 scale Rio and will show a comparison of the three.

Was that kit molded in Multiple Colours?
Great Looking Build!
Yes. Green, black, and light brown. The cab was light brown but looked like it should be yellow to me.

I love your subject matter, great model! Nice to see more early classics showing up here.
I know others have posed and answered the question before, but when did tires go from white to black? The ICM kits I've been building all have white rubber c. 1912-13.
I believe rubber went from off white or gray to black in 1914 when a blackening agent was added to the rubber. That is the date I have been using for my models.

The tank came from a site that sold diorama parts. Try agricultural tanks. THe Texaco logo is in the mail. The wheels, hood, and radiator are the only stock parts. THanks for the comments. I usually build only wood based models.

I learned to drive in a 1934 Ford Model A pickup at Boy Scout Camp Plymouth in Tyson, Vermont in 1946. Took my test in a 1947 Jeep CJ2A.

Superb collection Bob ! It's really nice to see some one building these early examples of true classics , well done !
I just glanced at your posted topics and there's a bunch of great stuff there .
Thanks for the comments. I build primarily 1927 and earlier models. Getting hard to find new and different models.

The wheels on this one are plastic. The wheels on the two under construction are cast metal. The lights and radiators for all of them are cast metal. The fenders and hood and seat backs are cardstock with some .01-inch plastic sheet. Thanks for the comments.
