I really love them both. The Chevy looks kind of square, but that is the kit's fault. They molded the body in a way the car looks like a brick.
Giving serious thought about painting my Sunliner black.
Would you consider casting some hubcaps for me?? Like the ones on your Sunliner??
I almost did so.
The decals on my Lindberg kit kind of dissolved, even with a nice clear coat on them before going into the hot water.
Now I'll build it as a regular Sunliner. The body is being stripped, as I had it painted white.
I must be the oddball that really loves the Mustang II better than the others... Have a soft spot for this car. I imagine it with the 5.0 and some glasspacks. Perfect color combo!!
I really dig the steel wheels and the hubcaps. Never saw a 1953 Ford passenger car hubcap in scale. Did you scratch them, or are they from a kit?
I'm on and off building the Pace Car version, and will have to use the wire wheels. Bummer...
The overall look is good, but there are some strange details, like the steering arm rubbing on the gas tank, or the engine, that looks like a small block Ford, but only has three exhaust tubes on the head??
I'll transmit your comments. You must have an idea of who built this car. Trying to convince him to post here a full thread, but the man is real stubborn. He posted a bunch of pictures on the Scale Auto forum, on the Factory stock section.
Hope mine turns out this nice!!
Built by a friend of mine.
Not the best quality pictures, as they were sent to my Telegram, and probably taken with yet another phone.
Just started building the AMT re-box of the old Lindberg '53 Ford Sunliner, and was talking about those cars with my friend. He had just finished the Victoria on the pictures.
