Hi guys,
Going to start working on this partial kit (see pics). Gonna do suicide doors and use one of the 283 engine kits that I bought. Havent decided on tires yet whether be regular or white walled tires but we'll see and custom built chassis. Using bottom picture body top pic couldnt delete.
( NOTE: Doing another build at same time can see under truck section.)

Hi guys,
So I pulled out this old, beat up kit which at one time was the USA monster truck. I managed to carefully get it apart without to much damage. As you can see in pics its dirty and dingy.
Im thinking a race truck of sorts with maybe a dragster engine in it if I can find on ebay if not I have an engine in a new dragster kit that i have but havent decided.
So first will be to work on cab and chassis. This is gonna be a time consuming one.
(NOTE: Doing another build at same time inbetween this one see under cars section.)

Thanks for the link. Thought that how the instructions was showing on how to put together. Not really liking that kinda setup i personaly like blower on top of engine. So probably just build the engine with the carbs.
-
By chance does anyone know where i can find any pics of the revell 283 cid engine built?
Been googling n cant seem to find any pics of this particular kit built with and without blower for reference.
Thanks

Hi everyone,
So i saw a pic on FB of a duel engine postal truck (see pic) that is killer.
I have '29 ford rat rod partial kit and 3 Revell chevy 283 engines that i got on ebay (3 kits for $19.95) great deal. (Pics)
Thinking bout doing a duel engine rat rod, maybe suicide doors. Anyone have any opinions on that idea?

Thanks for feedback, im throwing around couple ideasfin my head for another model where i will have to do some scratchbuilding and want to incorporate some DM products.

Hi everyone,
So I've tried the Detail Master pre wired distributors on one model and thought it looked good and scale looked right.
My question is about the other DM stuff 1/24 1/25 they have like carb linkage, hood pins, hot rod mirrors, etc. So like the carb linkage are they on point as far as size for the scale size.
I kinda wanna step up my game on building using DM products but dont wanna buy or use if they just dont look right cuz they visually look off size.
Thanks

Thanks for all the input from everyone. I want to start upscaling my model building. I like doing regular car/truck models out of box but i really like doing projects that are different looking like taking 2 different bodies that are broken from different cars and making it into my version of a "one of a kind".
Right now im all over ebay seeing who has scraps/parts lots just to kinda build up my spare parts junkyard. So we'll see what i can find for my stock and go from there lol.

Yes, i meant just for looks, sorry for that but couple good ideas given, thanks for that.

Hi everyone,
Theres probably a post about this but i didnt see one but what would be good to replicate wiring harness for 1/25 scale models.
I scrolled the internet looking for ideas but no definitive answer. I have couple ideas but gonna keep searching.
Thanks

Hi guys,
So I got this one in mail 1/25 scale. Tires are a bit smaller then the 2 sets I aquired years n years ago but not by much. I'm gonna use bottom end for a monster truck GTO that I have. The rest of this kit (chassis on up) I'm probably gonna make a hot rod out of it. Plus I have another 1/25 monster coming in mail.

I've looked on eBay n another site can't remember but those were 1/32 scale which is to small couldn't find 1/25.

This is probably a stretch but does anyone know where possibly they still sell 1/25 scale plastic model monster trucks (tires size bout 2 1/4 diameter). I found 1 on eBay a Datsun "scavenger" which I ordered. Im seeing 1/32 scales on eBay but that to small. Or even just the lower end (everything below the chassis) in the 1/25 scale? I've searched online and nothing besides the one I did find. Like I said I know it's a stretch or long shot but thought I would ask.
Thanks all

Hi everyone,
Is there a way I can get a diamond plate look/effect for some custom work? I've looked online but can't really get a definitive answer.
Thanks

UPDATE 2/17/20
As seen in an earlier update showing scratch built chassis I did a little bit of a modification to it and it works better then just straight chassis.(see pic). Also have my scratch built leaf springs and rear end attached. Need to find some shocks my supply is zero.
