  1. Lookin good so far , Lee. Thise Ertl kits always built up to a real nice replica, and their fit and finish was always really nice. I recall building this kit way back when it was first issued and even as a young kid it turned out well. I really like your color choice as it is spot on period correct, and looks near perfect. This is going to look exactly as it should. I’m looking forward to your next update.
  2. This is really good... looks every bit the yard dog, hard worker....... one thing I meant to comment on was the hydraulic controls for the dump ram, VERY good and convincing, I really like the way you put the controls behind the cab, that is really cool,,,
  3. Looks like you nailed it perfectly !
  4. Brian, from where I sit , this is the MOST spectacularly accurate, detailed plow truck model I have ever had the pleasure to witness come together. This build is nothing short of magnificent. No matter what you decide on the chrome it will be stunning. As everyone here knows that I was on the front line with these trucks for many years, I can confirm , that you have missed nothing, and this is as close to perfect as one can possibly get. A true museum quality build.
  5. If it were me and it certainly isn’t, I wouldn’t fret too terribly much about ‘chrome’ on the mirror brackets as all of ours here in Nelson were at beat just brushed aluminum, and jt never really did look like real chrome. I know its not me and I know the level of perfection you are striving for and , Brian , you are so close to perfection. Keep going but if the mirror brackets don’t come out 110% perfect you are still dead on near perfection. I really love this build. Very close to my heart.
  6. Incredible attention to the finest of details and engineering. The execution of a scratch built ‘problem’ fix is nothing short of, for the want of a better term, amazing. !
  7. This is really cool. You’re nailing the look and the box look right at home on this truck. Another great idea and vision. ….
  8. Sounds like you had to beat that one into submission, but your efforts well paid off, David. Very impressive, excellent details. Sharp paint job too. I like this one. ! Take a bow.
  9. Everything clicks on this one. Rivals the Autocar. I love this !!! Outstanding, pal. !
  10. Outstanding ! And yeah , I agree with Brian, that particular pic is really good !
  11. This is really cool. The color just makes this. I am getting some ideas with this build. I have built a few of these and no where near as good as this. The frame length would make a great tandem 🤔🤔 I’m looking forward to the next update. I really like where you are taking this …..
  12. My absolute pleasure buddy. It was a lot of fun. The end results are spectacular.
  13. I agree with the guys, it is a beauty and everything period correct. Nothing beats a heavy gravel truck. This turned out really well Scott. It gives me some ideas for my up coming builds
  14. Absolutely outstanding ! The little details bring it to another level. The red pipe connectors with the precision chrome hose clamps, the ‘adjustable’ mirrors, the mesh grille, rear fenders and the stunning perfect paint job…… this one rivals the Autocar. This vision and execution shows what can be done with a very old kit. I will look at this one for a long time. VERY well done. Fit and finish is wonderful!!!
