  1. I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth yet been working on other projects I do a bit here and there on the cannonball car not enough to take a new picture there are some awesome builds going on here
  2. I went with the cut it to pieces option and started removing interior parts to clear the engine . Then I grafted the gt1 Front suspension to the curbside chassis plate it . It was a perfect placement I did have to space it down to get the proper ride hight. Now I am in the process of eliminating the Lexus molded in trans and exhaust . I think I will try to duct cooling in from the bottom of the car to the radiators and intercoolers then vent it back out near the rear bumper . Fresh air is still in the design stage after I get it closer to mocked up without tape everywhere I will get some more pictures . It was a somber moment when I started cutting up 70 dollars worth of kits . I went back to the Stash and looked at all I had before the razor saw came out
  3. A update I got some time to work on this build I cut the hood out of the Lexus . I am coming to the first of many roadblocks on this build I chose the L version of this in hopes that I could mid engine it but I am running in to a air flow issue for this racing engine behind the seats. I have come up with a couple of options use the mono seat out of the race car and extend that chassis . Not really what I want to accomplish with this build. I can front mount the engine and use a torque tube to the trans axle and would have a full interior this way but would have to re work all the turbo parts . This way would look really stealth but would be hard to show off what I did . Or the third option cut everything in to pieces and hope it all turns out the way It looks in my head . This is the way I am leaning
  4. Hi I am mike I run northwindcustoms and print model parts and accessories I have been a builder since I was young . Took a break when I was starting a family and then a few years later found models therapeutic and got back in . I am a full time auto tech in the state of Idaho . I usually build Jdm cars in the stance style but do quite a few classics as well . Thanks for having me here I look forward to talking to you all
  5. I hope I am doing this in the right place I would like to join this build with the merge of a gt1 endurance car and a Lexus I plan to keep it in the spirit of the current era of cannonball era with a twist . I will keep it updated as I build If all goes to plan will be mid engined with a stock outer appearance will most likely have a bunch of 3D parts required and it goes on . Sorry for the long post it’s been 10 years since I have been on a forum . I look forward to seeing all the great builds on this theme .mike
