  1. Thats a great start, where did the front end come from?
  2. Nice job , saw that one over on SA as well.
  3. I always thought you were a bit "special" BTW how is the wife doing? That new baby should be along any day now right? We are due October 11th
  4. That is an excellent idea!
  5. Yeah its hard to see if there is much curvature to the belly, you may have it as low as it can go. If there is room however maybe you can recess that front wheel some. Cool project any way you look at it though
  6. Pretty cool , do you plan on lowering it down?
  7. All those details look great, thats going to be one excellent build when you are done
  8. I remember that one now, you are right Ken in this case its not such a bad thing. I should have read the details of the auction
  9. ?????? They get most of the new sheetmetal from OPG, as they did the new trunk for the 66 Lemans convertible on the episode I watched last night. Heres what gets me. these guys get Overhauled because someone recognizes how much they love their old beaters and the fact that they will never be able to finish it the way they want. Friends and family who love and care for this person collaborate to give them this really great gift, and in appreciattion they turn around and sell it on Ebay. Too me thats a slap in the face.
  10. No it will polish right off, you need to do any polishing prior to ACLADII. Making sure the base coat is mirror smooth is key
  11. I saw this little beauty in the swap meet area at the Good Guys the same day I bought my model
  12. Hey Walt I foud this cool Light blUe one online, I am doing mine in a light blue and really like some of this ones details. I also like the colored glass on the darker one. I have some pink plastic from a perfume box you can have if you want. It even fades out to one side so you could make a windshield with a pink strip at the top
  13. I did a bit of digging last night but had no luck. I will keep looking, frustrating as I can even picture the bag they are in.
  14. I know I have a few left over that I can part with, maybe you could make a mold and cast your own? Let me know and they are yours.
  15. Hobby Lobby has sheets of scale bricks in the dollhouse section, I believe they also sell bags of individual bricks. The picture below shows a sheet I used for my photo diorama. Once I had them glued in place I used non sanded tile grout for the mortar.
  16. I suspect that there was mold release on the resin piece that caused this.
  17. Man that CAt looks great, just gave me an idea for mine which has been on the bench in white base coat for some time. I might do the opposite of yours and do the roof in HOK Bittersweet Pearl
  18. Great job on the decal application there Billy. Each time you post they get bette and better
  19. MAn that looks cool , I met Mr Jones briefly a few years back at the Denver Grand Prix
  20. A little aricraft stripper will do the job without all the grinding
  21. Like slotbaker said it should not affect the ability to polish. Are you a rock hound? Just curious, thats a rock hammer on the pic isn't it?
  22. Great tip, if I might add one thing. If you heat ( aneal ) the tubing it will be a bit softer and easier to shape
