  1. Thanks Zippi . Those are the drag tires. Have Goodyear fat tires from one of the Nascar kit for the road trip. Power Tour you drive to drag strips, race, load up and drive to next drag strip. Tim
  2. 9oThanks Carmak.Ya I'm still unpacking. Most of the model stuff is unpacked. I just model in my recliner in front of the TV. Of course painting is done outside
  3. Be following this one. Was my graduation present in '71. Wanted a ' 70 Challenger T/A got a '62 Ford 4 door with t- bird buckets. Drove the wheels off it. Cool project Tim
  4. Plan on a trailer for behind for race goodies. Trying to figure out a small 2 wheel trailer. Maybe the U-Haul or one of the trailers from the rod sector
  5. Round 2 reissue bought a Ollie's. Narrowed rear diff to fit slicks under the body. Didn't like the no detail front suspension so hacked the front rails and added a Mustang Ii IFS from MPC Mustang Ii Pro Street that was incomplete. Let the styrene fly Tim
  6. Thanks Carmak.Ya I'm still unpacking. Most of the model stuff is unpacked. I just model in my recliner in front of the TV. Of course painting is done outside
  7. Weicome Mario. I also have lost or given away too many Jo-Han models. Some bought for .25 at rumage sales One trip to evilbay And depression sets in. Let the styrene fly. Tom
  8. Thanks Slusher, Zippi and Rich. In a short I look at the chassis, asess what stays what goes. Reason the make. Try to stay within reason what can be done and how close my skills can represent factory. Check my parts bins for resources without wiping out something rereplacable. Some times its difficult to get a tie rod so sometimes I just leave it out and pose the wheels for display. As in real life the Mustang II kits have nice ifs that with a cut here a section there can be grafted to most any chassis Tim C
  9. Was Timok1 but moved to Iowa so TimIowa1. Been modeling most of my life. Started in late 60s and like most took a break for several years. Mostly 60-80 muscle cars, some avation ,some military, some semi. Current projects 75 Gremlin X Power Tour. Super Stones F 250 with funky F 150 front suspension. My signature improvement is to make any kit have poseable front wheels. Not always easy but never impossible even with flat pan chassis. Been lurking since '19 move to Iowa
