I've been living long enough in this country that I don't spend over six Pounds for a kit that isn't a faithful replica of the real thing!
-
That is pretty close to what I see in my imagination, too.
Mine is green.

#41 was a Simca Marly.
#42, a Saab 96 V4.
#43, a Citroen Dyane, I skipped again, because I have it from Leo Models. But #44 just was a must have - a Renault Estafette van with the high roof!
#45 a BMW 2002, was skipped because the Welly is better, but #46 was duly acquired.
So was #47, a Renault Fregate.
#48 was this French Gremlin, a Peugeot 104 ZS.
#49, a Renault Alpine A310
#50 was this Peugeot 504.
Yes, the Welly has existed for a good few years, but it's a late version, while this one is an early one.

Mopars.
Don't.
Have.
Kelsey.
Wheels.Although, the (non-Kelsey) wires on the Maisto Chrysler are indeed nice.
Bburago used a plethora of generic wire wheels on various stuff. If anything from them has suitable ones, that would be a cheap source indeed. -
You just can't win here or there.
-
Why yes, I'd appreciate if it were sold for $8! But only if it's a new tool. For a repop that would be daylight robbery.

So, if one managed to remove the Z28 emblems from the grille [enter hysterical laughter here] and the
wingsfenders, and obtained a resin set of wheels, he'd end up with a plain jane 'maro, right?
Extra Turn-up-the-Base points for installing a Stovebolt? -
Would any of you care to swap me the glass from one of those 'avoid-like-the-plague' kits, please?
I might settle for a complete kit, if necessary. -

There is indeed only one left on eBay.
-
Wahey, I didn't even know the ragtop existed.
-
That Dodge is bloody wow!
Unfortunately I can search US eBay from the UK, yes.
Shipping is expensive of course, but that's not all. Her Majesty's myrmidons then fleece me off duty, value added tax, and a 12 quid "handling fee" per parcel.
This is not being helped by the powers there are sending the exchange rate into free fall, usually exactly when everyone here wants to go on a vacation. -
Oh, I'm definitely the most normal person I know. Yes, 1/43 is popular due to real estate constraints.
In my case, my love of US cars necessitated collecting bigger scales. When I started ca 40 years ago, pickings in 43rd were rather slim.
My bachelor pad consequently looked like a hobby shop throughout. -
I sure hope so. Prices went a bit mad for these.

A set of 8 lugs would go a long way on this, but alas. I don't know why the manufacturers are so obsessed with pov spec. And we aren't really spoilt with choice when it comes to aftermarket wheels in 1/18 either.

I hope Túlio will have a look at them. I guess they are from his neck of the woods.

The Winged Express was the first ever AA/FA that topped the 200, on 28 September 1967 at Irwindale.
Not too shabby for something that looks like what you'd expect to see in the B-consolation at your local dirt track Saturday evening. -
Kelsey Hayes usually gets credit for supplying wire wheels to Chrysler, and, like many myths, this one is hard to extinguish.
Chrysler wires were furnished by a company called Motor Rim in Detroit until 1956. They also delivered very similar wheels to Packard. -
This was a test series comprising four models.
I managed to obtain all four of them from Brazil. Don't ask. I'm still on a porridge diet.
The weird T1/T2 mix they made in Brazil.
Ford Maverick GT.
Look at that poser what with his whitewalls and stuff.
Chevrolet Opala. Basically an Opel Rekord C with different front and rear ends and Iron Duke engine.
Sorry, no Galaxie.

I have been toying with the idea of making a plastic model in 1/25, but every time I look at this, I discard it.
Since I don't have any drag racing cars built up in 1/25, I might just go ahead and collect further 1/18 offerings.
Those AutoWorld funny cars are delightful. What I really need is the ACME Bradford Bros Topolino, so I can reenact this: -
Which other models were released for Wix?
Entirely btw, it's one of those brand names that can't be marketed in German speaking countries. -
I would like to have all three. The
Turnip CrusherTurnpike Cruiser, this, and the '60, all in the same scale and quality.
I do have a '57 Convertible Cruiser courtesy of Yatming/Lucky, stay tuned.
The '60 will likely remain a pipe dream forever in 1/18, but at least I have a very restorable 1/25 builder.

You don't say! I own a kit that costs more than eight Dollars?
