    Just a small update on my own T/A project. Due to display space limitations, I've decided to call off my build - before it's even started. I've pawed through the parts a bit, but I already have far more kits to build than I have years left on this planet. I'll probably let the kit go for pretty much what I paid for it plus shipping. And if anyone needs real Mayan Red for their '79, I've got a can of that too!

    FYI - The American distributor of Rays Decals has posted on a T/A Facebook group that their printer has gotten caught up with all of the decal printing and should be sending out decals ASAP. Joe Morgan gave me permission to reprint the contents of his posts...

    That level of detail on the underpainting will really make the final hull pop! Looking forward to seeing it. I need to get caught up in this topic... I have one of these in my stash too!

    I have good news... see the lower right. He's taking orders now - I've been in email contact. Out of respect, I should also say that I didn't see his big orange notice about his girlfriend's passing until just now, but he did say he was aching to get back at it and since I had an email from him last week --- time heals all, and maybe things are looking up for the guy. Hope so. That's a bad break!

    I ordered a set as well today. Ray was very upbeat last week in a reply to an inquiry about 1/8 scale sets, but the info on his wife explains why a follow up email has been slow in coming. Still - with orders coming in and just over three weeks left before he sends off his next batch of orders, there's plenty of time for things to settle out.

    To be right up front - I'm mainly a collector of model aircraft and various science fiction and aerospace subjects... the build stash be growing, and so are my plans for a hobby workstation. Retirement will soon have an odor of glue, filler and paint! However, aside from all of the zoomie stuff, I've got a lovely Tamiya Ferrari 312B that's itching to be built, and I also have one of the Revell repops of the Monogram 1979 Pontiac Trans Am on the way from the UK via Amazon. Both are representative of times in my youth when I had a Ferrari slot car (after seeing Grand Prix in the theater) and when I was a young fellow living in the Florida panhandle and managed to acquire a T/A decked in Mayan (Arrest Me) Red with the T/A 6.6 motor. Fun times ahead!

This will be a fun conversion.
