  1. Those die-casts are very detailed. Nice representations of the real deal. Perhaps sadly, I have owned waaay too many of these little cars. Cheap fun, basically street legal go-carts. Just finished one for my son (a surprise...congrats on finishing his enlistment of 5 years). And just dragged yet another one into the shop for a winter restoration. BTW, the Entex/Bandai 1/20th X1/9 is a fantastic kit. Expensive, but worth it.
  2. Thanks, folks. I'm hoping to find some regular folks in those scales. Spectators, track hands, etc...
  3. Trying to find a source for well done 1/24th, 1/25th auto related figures. Baffling how I can buy scale metal lug nuts, seat belts or pre-wired distributors that are perfect, but I can only find mostly 40 year old molds (Fujimi/Tamiya pit crews) truck stop hookers, or 3D resin figures with real soft details.
  4. Thanks, gents. I will mostly "lurk" here. It looks like a good site for info. And since I have very little scale auto experience, i'm sure it will be worthwhile. I do commission pieces, so I own very few of my own product...more about the chase. I really don't have a need to store or display my own stuff. Except the ridiculous "stash" of course.
  5. New guy, old modeler. Will build anything, first love being aircraft. Recently moved, and had to downsize. Figured some cars would save on my limited shelf space. Broke out an old kit from the stash...1966 IMC Chaparral 2E. Next up is the JoHan Chrysler Turbine Car. I'm cheap by nature, so all my details are hand made (tools, jack, belts, etc...). I also enjoy restoring 1:1 cars and motorcycles. Anyhow, here are a couple model builds.
