  1. What a great job! I've built this as well and you've added a lot of cool details to the engine with the wiring, heat shield and just a touch of weathering! And those decals that are split between body and engine cowling - safe to say mine did not end up as well as yours 😅
  2. Hi Michelle I don't know if it's any help to you, but I know Fujimi has made several variations of the F355. They're all curbside though. Hope that can help you a bit in your search 😊
  3. Thanks! There's something to look forward to with this kit. So far the parts fit and detail is the best I've seen in a kit! Thank you for the recommendation Jason, it definitely need to get a hold of some of that. I tried with the Tamiya Decal softener solution and I didn't really notice any difference in terms of pliability on the decal. The hair dryer will surely help as well!
  4. As a recent addition to the forum, I thought the best way to get to know everyone and draw from your vast experience, is to start a build thread! So here we are - the Tamiya GMA T.50 I just started building. The project has just been started and I will stick pretty closely to the manual in terms of colours. I don't have an airbrush, so I use Tamiya X and TS paints. The biggest issue is to find an awesome colour for the body. I wanted to do a body colour a bit similar to what Stoke Models has done, but I think the closest TS is Light Gun Metal, which might be a bit dull for this car. I also want to use this model to learn how to work with Carbon fiber decals for varius parts. I've done part of the airbox for the engine bay, but my god it's difficult to work with! If anyone has a bit of advise on how to do this I would love to hear it 😄 Here's some pictures of the build so far (interior is a bit dusty, bear with me 😓)
  5. These were hard to find, so ended up getting three. Might be two too many, but hey it's always good to have spares!
  6. Tamiya recently dropped their launches for december! Most of it doesn't really ring my bell, but I'm really excited about that little Fiat 500! And it appears there are two different sticker designs to choose from. 24269 1/24 Fiat 500F: Tamiya welcomes an updated re-issue of Item 24169 1/24 Fiat 500F (originally sold in 2011) with updated decals, instruction manual and masking stickers. With its adorable design, the classic Fiat 500 provided a lively, sporty drive. 20072 1/20 Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5: Tamiya is delighted to announce the re-issue of 1/20 Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr. 5 (originally sold as Item 20009 in 1978; not motorized this time) with new Cartograf decals, new slick tires and instruction manual in the 1/20 Grand Prix Collection. 14016 1/12 Honda CX500 Turbo RE-RELEASE 24096 1/24 Toyota Celsior (UCF11)
  7. Hi guys! My name is Kenneth and I'm joining the forum from Copenhagen, Denmark. I've been searching for a good online forum for modelcar builders for quite some time, and finally seem to have found one where cars are actually the primary area of interest! I've previously looked a lot at Reddit and Britmodellers, but this site seems to be much more down my alley! I've started building models again during lockdown, after being away from it for 15-20 years, and it's been a lot on-and-off since then. I'm currently building a Fujimi Enthusiast Series 246 Dino (just need decals and clear on the body), and have just started building the magnificent Tamiya GMA T.50! My experience is still fairly limited (I've built an Italeri Porsche 944, Tamiya Nissan 390, Tamiya Alpine A110, Tamiya Mercedes Sauber C9 and a Tamiya Renault RE20 1/12 scale car). I love to find new ways of challenging myself for each model, so my skill set develops, but I'm a bit limited by not having an Airbrush. I really want one, but it's not realistic as long as we live in an apartment in central Copenhagen i guess.. I'm currently trying to learn how to use Carbon Fiber decals on the T50, but my god that's difficult! Might make a WIP thread for that actually, perhaps that's a good way for a novice like my to get some input and advice on how to improve. Anyway, hi everyone and I look forward to getting to know you guys with out shared hobby! All the best Kenneth
