  1. O.K. I've been trying to find the 1995 boss shinoda mustang kit because I loved the decals so much that I just had to build it again, I finally won it and I recieved it today. I put the kit in the cargo area right behind the motor of the fiero and then went on to work a double shift. I got in the car and drove home at 11pm. When I got home I got the kit out and noticed that the box was really wet so I checked and found that a garbage bag I had kept back there for when the sunroof leaks on rainy days, had collected moisture( fieros get really hot!) and spilled all over the box. I went inside my house and it hit me... I opened the box and found my decals soaked (please refer to previous statement about the importance of the decals in this kit.) and I hurried up and threw them on a paper towel. Are they ruined or will they still stick? I will use microsol to help them into place but thats only if they will still stick. Please let me know if this has ever happened to you and if they are still good. Thanks, Mike.
  2. Sorry, I thought that everyone would know the style of the harley edition, it's the same as the revell lightning kit and to correct myself it's a 2000, my r/c truck is newer still. I really don't care how accurate it is but I do want it the same scale. Thanks, Mike.
  3. What's up everyone, I havn't posted in a while(been busy getting the fiero on the road.) and I have a question for someone. I was at toys r us and I found these kits for radio controlled trucks that include a set of cool wheels and huge tires as well as a ford f-150 body which is really nice for a plastic r/c truck, it even has the wiring for functional head/taillights. Here's were the question comes in, I bought the kit because of the wheels and tires( and the fact that they were on clearance for $1.98 helped!) but the body is just too nice but, it is in 1/24 scale and the only ford truck I have is the 1/25 Harley Davidson f-150 which is the 90's version and the r/c is a newer style, I would like to know if there is a model or some other source for a 1/24 interior, motor, and chassis.? Any help would be great. Thanks, Mike. P.S. the new site looks great!
  4. Gregg, yes it is usually an e-mail or you can find it on Break.com and search for games. It's a lot like the e-mails that ask you to spot the difference between two pictures and while your completely involved...BOOM! some kind of scarry face pops onto your screen and screams really loud causing you to urinate yourself. Don't know if youve ever seen one of those but they are good for a laugh! Mike.
  5. Thats nothing, I've been working in a group home for juveniles and they don't get out much. But one of the funniest things i've seen was the other day a co-worker let them try the maze thing that scares you on her laptop, i've never seen hard core "gankstas" jump and scream like little girls before! Who says the internet isn't worth anything?! Later, Mike
  6. Hey MikeS, were'd you go?? Mike.
  7. Yes it's the red one with the satin silver wheels, I'm missing the front wheel and tire and if you have the kit could you please scan the instructions for me?. I would be greatful for any help you can give me. Thanks!
  8. I got this kit on ebay with a bunch of other cars and the only thing wrong with it is the paint job(easily fixed) and it's missing a wheel. I don't have a picture of the wheels but they are very deep in the rear and narrower in the front, you can find the kit on ebay in both 1/16 and 1/24 scale(mines the 1/24) but I dont want to buy a new kit when the one I got is in such good shape. Question is... can anyone point me in the right direction to get wheels for it, they dont have to be the originals just something cool and in the same style?. Thanks for the help, later, Mike.
  9. Maybe I'm a little bias here... But I LOVE Fieros, I also have an old mpc kit that someone painted with a brush and as soon as I can get the paint off of it I'm going to chop the roof, put nsx headlights on the front and a few other crazy mods to it. Your kit looks very nice and I'm sure glad to see one on the forum! P.S. Zebm1- ford exploders used to roll over and kill people but nobody seems to remember that, leave the Fiero alone!
  10. Lets see, Metallica, Rage against the machine(not that audioslave ######!), Iron Maiden, Pantera, slipknot, Godsmack, anything that hurts my head when i'm done listening to it. And alot of 80's hair metal! Later, Mike
  11. Welcome back to the hobby! I have used the thread but I had trouble holding the model while trying to move the thread back and forth but it does work pretty good. The method I use the most is just to drag a very fresh xacto blade using the backside of it and just going over and over it. It accually does'nt take that much effort unless there are some weird curves on the door or whatever your trying to cut. If anyone could give a suggestion for holding the body still while using the thread, I myself would like to know what you came up with. Good luck and have fun! later, Mike.
  12. Yep! I a lot more models done than on the workbench. Not to pirate an idea but, we could call it "on the shelf" Thanks, Mike.
  13. 8) Mclaren F1 2006 Nissan Xterra The Interceptor(from the movie The Wraith) Jeep Liberty Elenor I'm sure there's more but thats all I can come up with now. Later, Mike
  14. Looks good, I just bought that kit but I only have the engine done so far, I wanted to try and mold the rear wing to the decklid but I would'nt know how to paint under it then, that and I don't like the wheels. I like the paint job, it'll look good all together. Later, Mike.
  15. Hey it works, it's a litle big, but i'm just glad that I can put pictures of my models on here now! I'll have to start taking pictures of stuff for the workbench. P.S. The fiero picture is from when I first got it and it looks alot better now!
  16. Thats nothing, my Xterra lookes worse after just a few miles on the way to work, it's all on how you drive 'em. LOL I to would like to see someone weather a model like that. cool pics!
  17. If anyone is around Johnstown PA, I was born in 1977, one of our many floods! This Saturday I will turn 29! still under 30 though! I don't know of any cool cars that came out in 77' but I was 7 when my beloved Fiero was introduced and 10 when the one I own was out. Later, Mike
  18. Bill, I'm not sure I ever heard of that movie...but thats why I started this post, Dave what do you mean the Wraith was cheesy, thats the most realistic car movie ever made LOL. My basis for calling Highwaymen cheesy was not due to any technical knowledge but to scenes like when the Cuda's door gets ripped off and the girl surf rides it to saftey then later when observing the door for evidence, there are no scratches on it. BTW I like your clip of Mad Max, it reminds me of the movie My Science project where the GTO's blower also gets turned on via a toggle switch. Keep post'n em. Later, Mike
  19. First off let me appologize because I can't post pictures.(I have a real tough time with that both on this forum and a fiero forum I belong to.) But I will list some of the projects I've stalled. AMT Batmobile-I started trying to make the side intakes more realistic. MPC Ghostrider-I started puttying the widebody kit after I glued it in place Monogram Bugatti EB-110-I'ts painted...but thats about it Revell pro-street Chevelle- I wanted to paint it like the first release of it I had which was apple green but it's too humid( I live in the north east! I'm gonna stop there because if I think too much about it I'll remember some more and I'll be even more behind. Later, Mike
  20. So i'm working the overnight shift and I stop in to see my dad at work during my shift and he's watching this really bad movie called Highwaymen. The plot involves some handycapped man who drives a 1972 Cadillac and kills people with it, but the hero drives a Barricuda(i'm not sure of the year) the stunts are horrible but the Cuda has a hemi and it's driving scenes are pretty cool. I thought it would be fun to see how many other old obscure car movies there are out there. Post your favs. My personal fav is The Wraith with charlie sheen. Later, Mike
  21. I finally won the Revell 1/16th scale labo that I had questioned this section on before and I'm starting it now,but I'm more familair with 1/24th and 1/25th scale models, is there anything I should know or look out for? Thanks, Mike. P.S I can't seem to get my photos on here but i'll try and put them on my fotki page but I wish you could just see them in my post. Sorry.
  22. Unfortunatly I did not see it yet due to me still debating if my 6mo old will sit through it, but I did see a small behind the scenes on Starz and the main guy from Dreamworks stated that at one point in the movie the Fiat falls over and he stated that if you look closely (again prob. have to wait for the dvd) you can see that all of the undercarage detail is correct. I've been buying Cars stuff for my son and he doesn't even know what a car is! Can't find King in the matchbox size though Later Mike
