  1. Started working on this a couple years back after seeing this really cool illustration in a magazine. Cab is from the AMT Fruit wagon kit and fenders and bed came out of the Revell Model A pickup if I remember correctly. And the Model A cowl came out of the parts bin. I was really just trying to get the proportions figured out and now that I dig it out of the project pile I think it's time to actually get it together. I've been gathering parts to build a 1:1 version, so this proof of concept needs to get done!
  2. I built this AMT '65 Chevelle surf wagon kit sometime back but never finished the details on it. So I finally got around to adding some decals and chrome with my Molotow pen. The paint color escapes me but I was definitely rattle can. The Go-kart on the roof is the AMT one from their 60 Chev truck kit. Paint is spaz stix Candy Gold over a silver base. Seat is done in a white pearl. Fun little kit and I really like how it turned out.
  3. Nailed it! VERY cool build, well done!
  4. Started with out with the Atlantis mooneyes Dragster kit, and built it box stock other than a rear wheel and tire change from my parts bin. Fun to build, although a bit finicky. Thanks for looking, enjoy!
  5. This would be the one for me, I would build it as a replica of my actual 1965 Cadillac. Unfortunately like many of these "Holy Grail" kits, the cost is WAY up there!
  6. I'm partial to Cadillacs, and this is one clean build! Nicely done. Those tires look better than the kit supplied ones too.
  7. Had a couple snow days recently so I threw together this mostly box stock AMT Double Dragster. Fun little kit, and I'm a sucker for a front driven blower, especially two of them!
  8. Hey, Joe here. I've been building model cars since I was a kid, but recently I really started getting into the hobby. I think my favorite part about this hobby, is the ability to put ideas that are floating around in my head, into a three-dimensional form. It's a lot more affordable than building the real thing, although I build 1:1 versions sometimes too. Anyway, excited to be on the board, and we'll be posting up my builds soon.
