  1. I've crafted a desktop wind tunnel, blending the thrill of aerospace with our diecast passion. This setup visualizes aerodynamic flows around our beloved miniatures, offering a new perspective on their design and functionality. Keen to see it in action? I'll be posting pictures and videos showcasing different diecast models under the wind's influence. If you're intrigued and might want to try this out or have any insights, let's spark some engaging discussions here. Excited to hear your thoughts and see where this innovation could lead us! bens-g.mp4 20230319-001.mp4 For those keen on exploring this further or trying it out, I’ve set up a space for deeper discussion and collaboration. 2. Hey everyone! I've been experimenting with a fascinating project that combines my love for model cars with a dash of aerospace excitement: a desktop wind tunnel specifically designed for diecast cars. This nifty tool lets us visualize the aerodynamic flow around our miniatures, providing both a visual treat and insights into aerodynamics. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this. Ever come across something like this, or have you tinkered with similar projects? Would you be interested in learning about the aerodynamics of your model cars in such an interactive way? I'm looking forward to diving into discussions right here and hearing your feedback or questions. This is all about sharing our passion and learning from each other, so I encourage you to share your thoughts, experiences, or any curiosity you might have about the project. Can't wait to hear what you think and engage in some exciting discussions! For those keen on exploring this further or trying it out, I’ve set up a space for deeper discussion and collaboration. 3. Recently, I DIYed a desktop wind tunnel with friends, and couldn't resist putting in my cherished RB18. The beauty of it is truly enchanting. 72bace22646e7b20585e9750d9c3bcb5.mp4 BTW If you're curious about this desktop wind tunnel technology or want to own one yourself, they've even created a group specifically for sharing related information. 4. I've already seen how each part of it performs on the racetrack.
  5. Thanks for sharing. I'm wondering if the Cybertruck will look like this in a few years.
  6. You conducted wind tunnel experiments on a 1:24 scale model car. Although lacking detailed instruments, it serves as a visual device to observe airflow patterns. You can still discern basic airflow characteristics such as static stability, turbulence, inflow, and wake.
  7. Hey everyone! I’m an alum of Cranfield University where I dived deep into Supply Chain Management. But here’s the twist – I’ve got this soft spot for cars and aerospace. Weird combo, right? Well, it’s exactly this mix that sparked something pretty neat. After playing around with a ton of smoke types and exhaust fans, and sweating the small stuff in between, I’ve finally got my demo off the ground. It’s a desktop wind tunnel for diecast cars. Pretty nifty, huh? I’m thinking it could really add some zing to our collections. I’d love to get your take on this. Ever seen anything like it? Or maybe tried your hand at something similar? I’ll be sharing more about my plans over in Diecast Corner soon, and I’m all for digging into this garage talk together. Guess posting in Diecast Corner is the way to go, right? Thanks a ton for letting me share. Can’t wait to hear what you think! 20240313-001.mp4
