Holy ######...seems like you had this idea posted on another forum at one time. Where you going to run the stack...out the top of the hood? More horsepower that way. Win

Greenie Now, that's really a coincidence and you're right on for the colors. The only thing I see different is the pattern and Linox has a black trim stripe whereas mines blue. Thanks, Win
-
Thanks, Keith. My wife does all of my color picking (she's my color picker outer) then puts me to work. Win

One question about this forum?
airhorn replied to Nick Winter's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I've found that in the U.S. it depends on where you live. I was raised in Idaho and there a pickup is a pickup and a truck is anything bigger, like a 1 1/2 ton is a truck. But...in Utah, where I live now, a pickup is called a truck but I still call them a pickup. Guess they could be called a pickuptruck which I think they were called orginally in advertisements. Confusing and amusing. Enough on that...back to building models. Win -
Kenworth C500 dump truck

For being from a different kit it fit up pretty darn good I would say. Win -

Lookin' good Jerry. Like the green on the cab. Was the dump body in the kit? Win -

Really a nice build. The only way it could be better is if it were an IHC. Just kidding. Win -

Man, that thing is longer than a Kansas well rope. Lookin' good though. Win -
Thanks for the attaboys. The Ford is a Revell and I think it was issued in '94. It's a good build with just a few minor problems but nothing that couldn't be worked out. Hey Kurt...yep used the Alclad on this one. Tim...I finally mastered the "glass" istallation with your help from about a year ago when I was hollerin' HELP. See ya, Win

Thanks Ray...So, whats up with you? I'm guessing that you're still running down the road and building in your mobile hobby room. What are you working on now? Take care and as usual, be careful out there. Win

There were two stacks in the kit but I decided to only put one one. Just a matter of preference. Like I say...build them like you want them. As usual, my wife did the color picking. She's the boss and I'm the hired hand. Win

Pretty much out of box except I did some engine plumbing and wiring but because of the inside splash guards most of it can't be seen so, that's loves labors lost. Another one of those "oh wells". I'm building the old AMT Fruehauf tanker to put behind it and it'll be in the same color scheme as the tractor. Thanks for taking a peek. Win I'm waiting until the trailer's built to add the airlines.

Hello @ all, new here.
airhorn replied to Kostas Parchas's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Greece? Man, you're a few miles from me but that's ok. Nice, smooth looking builds you have. Really like the picture of the floor fan. Welcome and it's good to have you on the forum. Win -
Hi Kurt... Great pictures but I think you underestimated the "ton of pictures". In fact, I think you're overloaded. I have never seen so many models in one place but, on the other hand I have never been to a model show either. There's a big one in Salt Lake in May and thinking about going to it but just as a sightseer. There are some fantastic models and I'm like Jerry, my vote would go to yours. Take care, Win

Lookin' good and great work. Sure do like the colors. If you like it, that's what counts. Win -
First truck model? You did one whale of a job. Yep, those are some real "he-man" stacks for sure. Great paint job. Win
-
Looks as good as it did the last time I saw it on another site but, don't remember which one. This is the one that I made a comment about the color's being the same as a truck I drove in the late sixties and early seventies. In fact it's my avatar picture. Win

Hi Ray, long time no talk to. You're doing a great job on the rebuild so hang in there. I've never done a rebuild but can imagine that they could be a hair puller. That's probably why I have never done one because I don't have much hair to pull out anymore.LOL Take care and be careful out there. Win

Lookin' good. I would think that you would walk away with some prize with it. Is that by chance a Melton Truck Lines decal on the sleeper? Win -

Wow...you're a pretty fast builder. Did you finish the yellow and brown KW you were building for a friend of your Dad's?
