  1. If you’re going for stock engine color I believe it would be “Cummins Beige” which is almost a tan color
  2. Thank you, I should be sitting pretty good on clearance then
  3. Thank you for your willingness to help
  4. Grille is for Peterbilt 359, forgot to specify
  5. Original grille snapped on removing it from the sprue, replacement grille I had coming also snapped. Willing to trade custom made parts or Cat 3406/ Detroit 8v92. Please PM if you have this part or know where I can find one.
  6. Yup, I just hit the cab with a bit of green since it shows those lines off a lot more than white, they’ll be a lot easier to remove now that I can see them easier. Thank you for the reminder!
  7. Wasn’t able to spend much time at the bench this week but was still able to get a few parts made and make some headway on this build. I fabricated: Custom “little window” style visor from sheet styrene Deck plate which will run the full length of the frame I also made a few filler panels which will go in between the rear fenders. A few parts were painted this week including the engine and hood. I have also made the decision to convert this truck to a day cab and ditch the large sleeper so stay tuned for updates on that.
  8. Thank you! Working on a Peterbilt 359 at the moment, but I would love to build up a K100 like that second one
  9. Some drawings I’ve done over the past year Peterbilt 389 Kenworth K100
  10. Grille has been found!
  11. Removed the grill from the sprue today to prep for a custom insert I will make, and it sustained a large crack. The crack was on the top of the grill which is far from the two sprue attachment points on the side so I’m unsure how it happened. Any of you guys happen to have a spare Peterbilt 359 grill that you don’t plan on using or know where I can find a replacement?
  12. Original grill cracked on removal, so is now unusable. Came from the Revell of Germany Peterbilt 359 kit (Will attach photo below)
  13. No worries, thank you for the reference pics. I don’t have any experience with photo etch, does it include the whole grill or just that insert?
  14. Not sure what you mean by p/e?
  15. First major problem has been encountered. Many of the pieces of this kit have come with scratches on them. I hoped to correct this by sanding with 1500 grit sandpaper and using high build primer. I went to paint some of the larger body pieces today, and found that my effort to repair these scratches was not enough. Time for some more sanding of these areas and possibly putty work which will hopefully correct the problem. There is also a large spot on the grill which I am unsure how I will correct at the moment.
  16. If you could get ahold of a KTA Cummins that could be very cool
  17. Dark green with a metallic gold or black frame still has my vote!
  18. Slammed KW has my vote!
  19. Thank you, one of the things I was most worried about when doing this
  20. If you got a dark green on hand I think that might be a great color for it
