  1. Thanks T/A Mike, appreciate it.
  2. It was an old can of Testors candy apple red. A really thin coat over metallic silver.
  3. Thank you, much appreciated.
  4. Thank you Michelle!
  5. Had this sitting in my stash for years. It was the only kit my mom ever bought me. I was honored and told her I would make it into something special. When I opened the box later I was dismayed. The Monogram kit was and to this day THE worst kit I had ever seen. The flashing was completely out of control and pieces such as the windshield didn't fit. So it sat and sat. My mom passed before I touched it. Guilt was my motivation to build it. It is a true Frankenstein with bits and pieces from so many kits I lost track. Started out with a yellow paint job. I was thinking of the Popular Hot Roding magazine project car "project X" if I remember correctly but the yellow has too much green in it so I started over. Needless to say this one is special to me.
  6. This one was fun. A little bit of day 2 on this pony. My personal favorite of all Mustangs.
  7. Awesome build!! Definite cool factor. Hard to beat a tri 5 with a straight axle!!
  8. Awesome presentation!! Is that you singing the CCR tune?
  9. Yeah, there's been some good ones. Barry Seltzer, Motown Shaker, Jungle etc....
  10. It's a couple coats of Testors gloss custom red over a coat of Testors metallic silver. Honestly, I don't think my phone captured the true shade.
  11. Thank you for the kind words. I have been a Mr. Norm fan since the mid 60's! One of the true pioneers of funny cars. First saw his cars race at Lions in 67. Always a thrill to watch em run.
  12. Had this kit gifted to me years ago with no desire to build it, so it sat. Not a fan of modern funny cars. But going through my decals box I spotted the Norm decals and instantly knew what to do with them. This was the Moon Eyes, Jim Dunn car and was a really nice kit!! It is one of a few box stock kits I have made and quite enjoyed it!
  13. I grew up going to the So Cal drag strips in the 60's & 70's. The Pisano Bros were always a favorite of mine starting with their 68 Corvair funny. I got to examine close up in the pits all their early race cars. They always had a class act. This was the Green Elephant kit. Parts of the kit went together nicely but others, such as the roll cage didn't line up so well. I also had issues with the hose tubing. Would love to make this kit with a Camaro body.
  14. Outstanding work on two of my all time favorites. Have you built the Larson & Chadwick Camaros? Would love to see those.
  15. Awesome job, well done!!!
  16. Sweet build!!! This one is my favorite of your pro mod builds.
  17. Beautiful build!!! No critique just praise!! One of the nicest pro stockers I have seen on these pages!
  18. The wheels were sprayed "thick" with Testors metallic gold. The body 2 thick coats of Testors gloss black and a coat of Testors clear gloss over paint and decals.
  19. Nice, clean work!!! Well done.
  20. Super clean!!! Well done
