  1. Virg, on the '50 Ford, that's a combination of Floquil Mud (airbrushed lightly) and real dirt rubbed into the dried flat paint. Sometimes I just use Floquil Flat Finish and rub the paint into that when the paint dries. That's about it. Terry
  2. You know, I was just thinking. I've got this. It's an All-American Models '56 300B. I wonder how much work it'd be to adapt the interior parts, chassis, and engine from one of the '55s to this. Hmmmm.... Terry

  4. Well, a Plymouth. This is a '41 diecast. I had a full-sized '46 Dodge this color. This has shown up a couple times, but... 1977 Dodge M880 CUCV (Commercial Utility Combat Vehicle) for the Montana National Guard, 1986. 1994 Dodge Ram Dooley Terry
  5. And some more Silverados.... This is a '91 Sportside promo with a few small changes. And a '92 promo that was converted to a custom GMC.... This is a '92 Cheyenne W/T Extended Cab. And a little custom paint.... Terry
  6. This is the prototype for AMT's '90 Silverado Sportside kit. The chassis is a shortened LWB '89 Chevy. AMT supplied the grill and the All-American Models resin Sportside box. Prototype (and box art model) for AMT's '91 SS454. Wheels and seats were airbrushed for the box art shot. This was a detailed promo for a "First Look" story on the then-new '88 Silverado. Here it is eight years later with "modifications." Terry
  7. I just found this thread. Here's some stuff I have in the works. This is an Impala with the Caprice trunk lid grafted in. Then I added the trim strip between the taillights. This one has the "trough" filled with superglue and microballoons. This'll be a '96. CMW Crown Vic, stripped, reprimed, and with modified Modelhaus Chevy cop car wheels. This'll be a Montana Highway Patrol cruiser. LAPD used 2004 Impalas on an experimental basis, buying only a few cars. So I'm doing this one with Revell's snapper. They're fun. I've got lots more, too. Terry
  8. I have these. The '50 is a little farther along, but is still not quite finished. Maybe a few days. Terry
  9. Wow, Dave. Sign me up! That is impressive. Terry
  10. I did this ZO6 several years ago. I just liked the color scheme, but I wanted to extend the red stripe to the center of the hood. Terry
  11. This a Scale Coachworks resin conversion for the FIA Cobra that Dan Gurney drove at the 1964 Targa Florio. It's a curbside on a flat pan chassis. That little structure on the hood is a rock deflector. That, the roll bar, and the exhaust were put together from tubing and other little plastic bits. Terry
  12. I just found some build photos for this Jeep model, so I started a new fotki album. http://www.fotki.com...n-isreali-jeep/ This depicts a Jeep M-38 as used by the Isreali Defense Force during the 1967 Six Days War. There are a lot of little scratchbuilt bits on the model including the spare tire mount, antenna mount and antenna, and the radio (actually a modified tool box). The model started out as the MPC/AMT "Daisy's Jeep" kit with resin wheels and tires from Hendrix Manufacturing. The top is from an earlier version of this kit, the 1972 "Korean Staff Car." The paint scheme includes a big, off-white stripe with black stripes on either edge. This was an identification stripe so that IDF pilots didn't fire at their own troops. Fun little project to build. Terry
  13. Okay, for some reason when I try to post a photo, it turns the fotki thing into a link so that the old HTML coding doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it? Thanks, Terry
  14. Got one ordered. Can't wait. Hope it has all the proper decals, though. One of those "must have" movie kits, as far as I'm concerned. Terry
  15. Gregg, the number is TL-01, and I really don't know where you'd get one. They were sold in Japan only, although some enterprisings souls must have brought in a few for sale here. I bought mine from Hobby Link Japan in about 2004 or 2005. Wish I knew more. Terry
  16. So what ARE these going for? Terry
  17. At risk of being accused of highjacking this thread (what fun reading all those posts!), here's some of my stuff. I'm working on this (still!). And here are some links for some other projects. http://public.fotki.com/TerryJessee/police-car-models/ http://public.fotki.com/TerryJessee/cop-car-model-projects/ http://public.fotki.com/TerryJessee/modelhaus-1962-chry/ Terry
  18. Sorry it took so long. Couldn't find it. Terry
  19. Lyle, you are a constant inspiration. I can't think of anything better. Terry Jessee
  20. I like THAT!!! How did they modify the nose to fit the headlights? Did they change the nose itself, or the headlight parts? Looks really good. Terry
  21. Oops! I said that, then changed it. And I'm sitting here looking at the box, too. By the way, I hear they're doing a '75 Torino, too. Quality on the '72 I have is first rate. The castings are really clean, with no pinholes or other issues. The conversion is very well done, too. Terry
