  1. MPC Chevy long wheelbase stepside. I don't remember the name of the kit. Terry
  2. ...there was Etzel's Midget. This is a 1955 Kurtis Midget from Etzel's Speed Classics. It's a resin and white metal kit. I sold this, but got it back damaged. The windshield was missing, so I used one from the Revell kit. I added a baseplate from foil with some photoetched rivets. It was more sleek in the original form, but it's still pretty cute. Here's the original version. This is a fuel-injected version as denoted by the multiple intake stacks. The big windshield looks kind of gawky, but it's still racy. It was a great kit. Terry
  3. This is actually a 1/32 scale Mazda T-200 one-ton truck, but I've modified it here and there to make it look like a 1/25 scale warehouse trike. The '63 Chevy gives an idea of relative size. Just something different for fun. Terry
  4. This one's kind of cobbled together. It's sort of like a '67 Chevy with a newer grill. Terry
  5. No, it used to be an AMT "Orange Blossom Special" pull truck. The nose is scratchbuilt with a vacuformed hood, and the box is plastic sheet. Chassis is actually an MPC '80 Ford Bronco modified to look older. I kinda pulled this out of thin air. That's why it's taken so long. Everytime I make progress I run into an obstacle. So I put it back until I can come up with something that solves the problem. I looked for wheels and tires for about five or six years. Finally found a set of wheels in an old Monogram 1/32 scale Army truck. I make it up as I go along. Terry
  6. This is a Burago 1/24 Saab 900 that I redid to make it less like a toy. Yeah, I know, I got the wheels on catty-whompus. Fun, though. Terry
  7. This is my 1938 Henway Speed Six. I started this in 1985 and keep fiddling with it. Right now I'm trying to figure out a better engine. What's in it is an old Austin Healey six from a Strombecker kit (I think). But the twin carbs are a little exotic for what this is, so I have to come up with a different intake manifold and carburetor. Still have to do an interior for it, too. Lots to finish.... I keep fooling with it, though. This one is a '91 Chevy Dooley. I've beefed up the chassis and suspension, and raised things up a little. Wheels are an old set of All-American Models Chevy one-ton wheels on AMT tires from the Dodge Ram Dooley kit. Working on putting together an engine (one small piece at a time....) This has full suspension and poseable steering, along with an engine--probably a 454--and a bench seat I modified from a Caprice. Terry
  8. These are both curbsides. This one is a '92 promo with a GMC grill. This is the '50 Chevy snap kit. Headlight buckets are '57 Chevy. Simple but fun. Terry
  9. Hey, Virg, do you know if he's still using that paint technique he demonstrates in his videos? Thanks, Terry
  10. ESCI Toyota Landcruiser adapted to fit.
  11. Actually, I have some kits but have never built one. Guess I should. Terry
  12. This is done as a mild custom--nosed and decked, lowered slightly in front, baby moons on chrome reversed wheels. Fun little kit to build. Terry
  13. SS 454, huh? Here's the prototype. I built this for Tom Haverland in 1991 using a Sportside kit and a resin box from All American Models. Wheels were from a '32 Ford phaeton with centers from the Sportside kit. This was built for a product planning presentation, then started making the show circuit while they were tooling the new kit. Eventually they used this for the box art model in the first release, but airbrushed in different wheels and seats. Terry
  14. Here's another one. This is a '77 Dodge M880 CUCV (commercial utility combat vehicle) done up in Montana National Guard markings. Terry
  15. Liberty Spec Cast '53 Jeep Civil Defense truck--this is based on an old ad I found in a book on Jeep history. Another AMT snap kit--1950 Chevy salvage yard boom truck Another view--this boom and associated junk was a lot of fun to put together. Another Spec Cast diecast--Jeep flatbed with resin wheels and tires. Terry
  16. AMT 1995 GMC S-15 AMT 1986 Chevy El Camino SS AMT original (ca. 1962) 1925 Ford T Pickup AMT 1934 Ford AMT 1950 Chevy (this is the snap kit). Terry
  17. Here's the '81 Impala. Terry
  18. Do you suppose you could post some photos of the '59 Stingray? I've wanted one of those since they were new, but was too late. They kind of folded just as I was trying to order one. Terry
  19. Holy cow! That's beautiful! (Too shiny for anything but a museum piece, but gorgeous.) Terry
  20. Five tires, or just four? Be nice to have that spare. Terry
  21. I do it all the time. MPC '88 Chevy Silverado Promo (detailed a bit) Redone as a custom GMC 1992 Chevy Silverado SWB promo redone as a custom GMC MPC 1987 Camao Z-28 promo redone as a Border Patrol Interceptor--yes, they really used these (and Trans Ams) for a program called "Operation Roadrunner" in the '80s. Here's a Brookfield Olds Aurora done as a DARE car. There's a few. Terry
  22. One thing about the Blazer (the burgundy one)--that tool broke in half in the door section. When they restored it, they had to retool the door handles, and they did them too small. I've been looking for an original with the right sized door handles for years. Bob Johnson was the one who told me what had happened to the door handles, so that's probably pretty accurate. Terry
  23. In-CRED-ible!!! You're not really going to RACE that, are you???? Beautiful. Terry
  24. I'm lovin' this. Fun to watch. You know, I've got all those parts, too. Never thought to use 'em on the General, but that's going to change, I think. I'll have to keep an eye on this build. Terry
  25. Probably not exactly what you're after, but I like the '97. Terry
