  2. well i just picked this kit up 2 days ago and i want to enter it into the build off... but im not sure now because i lookeed at everybody elses cars and i don't have a motor let alone the skills to even come close to winning so next year i'll enter so yeah here's my wip
  3. from now on all my builds are going to be in here
  4. yeah i picked up the DONK! montecarlo kit... i want to do the same idea that you have but i don't really know what im doing with the chassis... i don't want to cut it all up then screw it up completely.... if you have any tips can you pm me please and where did you get those tyres they look bad.... motor looks great too what company did you get those from
  5. the only think that wouldve taken it above and beyond would of been if you wouldve added some damage to the lexas other than the windshield.... that has personally happend to me and it wasnt pretty the roof post was all dented to s#!+ and the roof was dented down and the hood and fenders were cyanara..... so just a thought... other than that it's above anything i could do.. i reallly like the detail you put into the roof...
  6. catiwampus??? you lost me there...if you were meaning are they hooked up to the roll cage inside the cab. yes they are and there are bars in the motor bay.... the only thing i need now is some new front rims and tyres....and im starting on a dodge ram srt-10 pro street truck.... i painted the body today... ran out of model trees to make the rollcage...will post pics l8r....
  7. this is my dodge in progress. i will be takeing pics through out the build. i used custom tubs, made custom rear tyres, and re painting the motor, repainting the body. oh and makeing a scratch built rollcage, and doing a narrow frame up tommorrow... my lighter died haha
  8. i have the same truck but i turned it into a pro street.... chopped the frame and chaneld it, original motor with older stylr intake and carb, took the 4 tires glued them together and ended up with two tyres and put a scratch built rollcage in it yesterday, rollcage alone took me almost 8 hours and still dosent look right, but overall it just needs a few details in the motor and it'll be good to go.... i just need a new windshield, doing custom exhaust today...
  9. most of the stuff on this truck is pretty much scratch built, i scratch built the rear tyres, rollcage, blower scoop, rearend... still need to paint underneath though but almost done
  10. ... the pic didnt post....
  11. the rear tyres are completely custom... front window is cracked because when i was putting it together i setppd on it, my first fade... tell me what you think
  12. i saw one on a lowrider resin site but i forget what site it was !!!! ahhh it's my all time fav car and i'd turn it into a drag car
  13. what kit is that roll cage from??? or is it scratch built... that would be brutal to do....
  14. i guess it really depends how many ppl are logged on cuz rite now it's goin so-so but lastnight it was like zoom-zoom so idk
  15. how would you creat a mini working compressor???? it has to be small enough to sit in the back of the cadillac deville
  16. i got it down pat im in the middle of makeing it right now the glue is drying... i used a ballon and some plexi glass with a hole in the top so i can put in and let out air and for the hose im temporarily useing speaker wire until i come across something better... havent figured out what to use for a compressor anybody got any ideas.... will post pics around 6 tonight
  17. what would you use for air hoses... anyone??? please coment
  18. if any one wants to attempt at makeing functional airbags here's a pic... i am going to try but im not sure what to use i think im going to use a couple ballons and some twist ties... and try simthing for a compressor
  19. the only thing i don't like about building trucks with seperate boxes are lining them up perfectly... almost impossible! but can be done with the right amount of patience.... i say that bcuz that trucks box looks like it's a bit off but looks good otherwise
  20. here's my freshly painted deville lowrider currently working on left side suspension.... right side actually works
  21. is there a website i can get one of those from???? it's one of my favorite cars
  22. it's all good i justs took about 6 hours of sanding and it was looking better and smooth so thanks for the thoughts
  23. ok i bought a 1999 chevy silverado custom i think it's from revell and i shot a coat of silver then shot a coat of green(btw the color looked GREAT) and when i went to pick it up i realised that i only ended up shooting the top half of it and when i went to sand it it came off in the effect of wet paint when really it was dry.. so you think the cold weather had something to do with it, i will post pics tommorrow unless i wait all night and re sand and re paint.... but im thinking the cold weather was the whole problem, how do you strip paint???
