Needed to repair the A piller vent window Frames (remember those! I for one miss them) with the help of a 64 GTO that I cut into a hard top and saved the parts I knew I'd use them some day. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki also put it in primer to see what else needs to be done. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

Adding to what Rich (above) said what I do with separate letters I don't sand them completely off so as you can still have a reference point to locate them also I use clear paint (from the jar) to ad hear the parts, this gives you time to position them. also you might want to do a search for Images of the car and its interior, Just type (in a search box) Images of a 1960 Pontiac Bonneville, and or Images of a 1960 Pontiac Bonneville interior. and when cutting the parts off the rack take some Masking tape and fold it over it self (to form a double sided tape)and place the tape on a hard flat surface than place the parts on the tape this way they won't fly off into space never to be seen again when you cut them off and use a new #11 Blade to cut as close as possible, Be care full the blade is Sharp and the parts will fly hope this helps Dave

Finished today two days before the run to Lizard lick, its a fresh car so the Revenuers don't know about it yet! Doesn't seem fit to Photograph it in a garage that won't be built for another 25 years. ;D Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Link to build http://public.fotki.com/ClubVic312/my-models/40-ford-stock-or-is-it/

started on my pre WW2 40 ford club contest Project, I picked up this 40 for $5.00 at the last meeting, contest is for pre world war 2 cars so I thought I'd do a early Moonshine runner with a Hot Flat Head, not doing to good with info from the net on what speed equipment would have been available, I do have a resin duel carb intake that I'm sure would have been used ( I hope, ) other wise what did they do pre WW2 ? also if anyone has an extra set of Headlights I could use a set Hosted on Fotki Taken apart and ready for the Easy Off soak Hosted on Fotki Typical 60s/70s Paint going to need another soak Hosted on Fotki

I'm running a Paper bag contest in one of the clubs I belong to what we usually do is I have Dave Burket (The Modelking) Supply me with Kits that he wraps in Paper bags those that sign up Pick a bag not knowing whats in side and I have in the past wrote a color on an index card put it in an envelope and let the guys pick an Envelope and that's what they have to paint the model they ended up with we've been doing this for a few years and the guys have fun with it, This year I went with old and new Built ups and the guys can do what ever they want to the model, we took pics of what each guy ended up with so we can see what they had to work with. Here is what I got and what I did so far. The Original builder Painted everything than Glued it together without Scraping paint or chrome so it came apart very easaly, dont have any idea what kind of paint he used but that came off nicely with only one soaking in Easy Off oven cleaner, found a crack in the roof and the right side A piller broken.
