92 Ford faux-Runner
RodneyBad replied to RodneyBad's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Alrighty then, A bit more work. Can't have a Faux Runner with out the Pre Runner bumper SO I spent half a day thinking of how to do it and how to make it. I used 3/32 tube with a wire stuck in it to keep the bends. Drill holes in the bumper to stick the Tube through, figured it'd be stronger than just glueing it on the bumper. I may not be fast but I'm still working -

Sneak peek .... Lindberg Charger Police Package
RodneyBad replied to SteveG's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Went to my LHS to check to see if they finally got them since I wanted the Los Angeles Cop car. I was told when they come in, they will be priced at $22. Wrong. they price went up to $30. I told them to keep them. I mail ordered mine From policeCarmodels.com for $20 each (x6) and only $15 for shipping = $22.50 each. Ha ha, they lost another sale and more from me!! Now to go find me some LAPD Decals..(they were out of the LAPD kits) -

Finally got the rear suspension done. Nothing really major. Made 6"inch lift blocks, 4 u-bolts and 8 nuts Keep it all straight was the fun part and grabbing the wrong SuperGlue. SuperThin Super Glue is not a Drip on from the bottle type of Glue It's a Run all over the place glue. BTW: This is not how you should lift a 1:1 truck 6"inches. Final ride height with out anything but suspension holding it up and level -

These are the right size for Super Singles and I can't wait to get a set of those too. -
Adhering to Mr.Zinns advice and you can't go wrong Sorry, Mr.DoubleD. Truck is looking good. Of Course I like the early 90s version Love the hood scoop, I could use a 1/2 Dozen or so of those Really Dig the wheels and decals for it. Side Story, I had friend that had one of those 5.0 hood scoops on his 1:1 Pro-Street Duster. It even looked good on a Mopar.

Looks a lot like mine but my head liner fell down. Not any more tho. Great looking Interior. Love all the Lil Goodies in it Looks like a good shop truck. Sorry, I don't know what ever happen to my decals. That was over 20yrs ago Good to hear the decals are starting to set up.

Thanks, They tires measure out in 1:1 standards as 34x12.5/15 (in 1/25 scale) I found the tires on a 4x4 Toy at a truckstop, haven't seen anymore since. BTW: I sent the tire to Ma's Resins for casting. A Little more work done. Got the 4th flare on and sanded off some of the side trim for a Base Model truck. -

Engine looks Brand new. Nose cone looks like a whole lot of fun. Headlight buckets are looking good. Build on.. -
Well, with the doors off, you can place in the interior tub and trace the door line onto the tub. Then cut it just on the inside of those lines.
