  1. This is looking great Mark, anymore progress on it? I have the earlier Heinz 57 version (identical body shape by the look of it) that I just started... the decals are shot so i'll go with a custom version instead. Would like to see how this turned out.
  2. Not worth a comment, good or bad... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
  3. Cheers Andy Nice to have one response at least.
  4. This is the Revell '67 Charger in drag form, pretty much box-stock with a few extra decals. One of the nicer Dodge kits i've built, it went together with no drama at all, good moulding and little flash... a nice easy build. I finished it in Humbrol Silver Fox from a rattla can which came up shinier than I expected. This was also the first kit I used BMF on... well worth the stress! Enjoy...
  5. I generally just paint any woodgrain myself, as someone else said - it takes some practice but it's worth persevering just for the sense of satisfaction afterward! For "standard" interior wood I use a dark Brown base (Humbrol Service Brown) then mix in some Flat White and paint some grain on with a small (read: tiny) brush. Then paint more grains over that with the original brown whilst its all still wet, this "blends" the grains you painted. For lighter woods just use differing shades of Brown or lighten the base colour with some flat pale yellow/sand for the lighter grains. If you want knotty wood simply add a few "blobs" of colour and paint the fine grains around them. The pic below is a GTX console I did recently...
  6. This is the AMT '69 GTX hardtop kit, the first one I fully wired (not easy but i'm sure they get easier the more you do!) The details are a mix of PE bits and scratch built linkages/springs etc. The striker plate is just styrene sheet cut to shape and the lap-belts are made from scalpel blade packet foil, the tiny phone is from a Fujimi interior parts kit, as is the figure in the last photo. I finished it in Humbrol Sovereign Gold & Flat Black with the usual BMF brightwork. Enjoy...
