  1. I don't wish to sound rude, but I have children and one is a 12 year old who is a member of this site. It is true that some prime time programming has questionable language, but these programs are always marked with various warnings and, of course the well known "PG-13, etc, and not all pre-teens watch these programs. On this web site, and it is a great place for anyone who models, there are no warnings on posts, it wouldn't be feasible to even try. The printed word is much stronger than the spoken word. This is another thing to take into consideration. I'm not naive, I know children hear bad language at school, on the telly, and other places, but that doesn’t make it right. Bad language isn't allowed in my house and such language shouldn’t be re-enforced on what I feel is a family oriented web site. So, I agree with Greg. I don't see a need in using a vulgar word to make a point.
  2. Thank you for posting this.
  3. My son, Alex went out last night trick-or-treating with his usual pillowcase and ,as always, got enough candy for the both of us. It should last us a few months. We're lucky to live in a neighborhood where kids can still go out; of course his big sister went with him, but still it was a safe and bountiful night for the lad.
  4. Not bad. This is always a good start on roll bars, depending on how far one wants to go with them. I can remember the ones we used for our real cars years ago, they looked much like yours; quickly welded together with the welds not ground down. Reminds me of my days (and nights) at Ona Speed Way and Riverside Drag Strip years ago. Trust me, yours looks better than some we hurriedly put together. Remember, practice makes perfect. Keep at it.
  5. Nice information.
  6. Nice dual engine and extended frame.
  7. I suspect he's including his break times in with the sanding time.
  8. Your enthusiasm is great, learning the way I did at your age. Myself growing up poor, I had to use whatever there was around the house, or things I found waking around with friends and then let my imagination take over. You've been doing this maybe 4 months at best. Your roll bars may not be the best, compared to modelers who have been building for several years, but you try and you're not afraid to post. I might be biased, lol, but son, that is how you learn, and get better and better at things. Listen to the good advice from some of the experts here, and let the mean comments roll off your back. You'll get where you want and need to be at modeling, it's a great hobby and it's all about the fun. (I'll give you a few tips on roll bars today).
  9. Nice work cutting the body to fit those big slicks.
  10. He's been working on it all evening, building a rail frame from scratch and doing a little work on the body, so it might just work out.
  11. Looks like s good goal. I hope everyone knows the accompanying photo was just to show that the GTO will be a funny car with lift able body, rail frame, and not that you're turning a Pontiac into a Ford. I know this, just wanted everyone else to know. Dad
