  1. Nice details, Robert. Copied the pictures, thank you.
  2. I am AMAZED by that fact. Wow, well then it's definitely not only possible but the results are perfect. Great job!
  3. Cool thread. I'm always on the lookout for watch parts and I use them every chance I get:
  4. Beautiful model. Love the colors, and the Optima battery gets our attention in the engine bay. Nice all around work.
  5. Beautiful one, thanks for sharing.
  6. Mine just landed, and it's a beautiful gathering of models. You better put on your sunglasses (as ZZ TOP would sing) because your eyes might just explode from all the eye candy glowing in there. And the issue is thick and meaty, really lots to salivate over in there.
  7. Wow, great model. Those tires and engine details are very convincing.
  8. Mark, those look beautiful. Great job, and yes, think between us we are going to quickly convince Luke the airbrush is the way to go if he wants to do these kinds of paint job graphics.
  9. Very cool story, Adam. Thanks for sharing.
  10. That's just too funny, but it goes to show how prevalent the whole Zombie thing is in our culture.
  11. I guess in this category too would fit all the model cars built out of anything that IS NOT styrene. Like wood, metal, beer cans, etc . . . lots of those are often seen in flea markets.
  12. Wow, The Zen of Zombie. Love it!
  13. Making that body and panels nice and smooth, great progress.
  14. I think if we all put our heads together maybe we can organize a big FLA. STATE-WIDE model club, and then have a yearly NNL Style Show that moves around the State from year to year. One year in Orlando, one year in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, one year in JAX, one year in PENSACOLA . . . well, you get the point. And TAMPA too.
  15. Hope you and S. made it back safely from the BAMA show, Tim. Best, V.
  16. Most of my head scratching moments come when I am trying to figure out how to build a part from scratch or how to do a kitbash that will work properly.
  17. Glenn, thanks for sharing that picture, it is indeed a great example of what can be done with these different techniques.
  18. Personally, I always feel better when I can use the AB to free hand or use graphic templates like this:
  19. Luke, here's an example of a body I painted a couple of years ago (and which I might still finish for this thread) using a similar masking process, but I used the AB and HOK paints which dry lightning fast. I believe this kind of paint job CAN in fact be done with rattle cans to achieve some cool fogging and fading, but you have to make sure your paint doesn't creep under the tape and that you remove the tape before the paint dries.
  20. Thanks for sharing, Junior. Very generous of you.
  21. Mig, I always enjoy your dioramas. They really are wonderful examples of how much fun can be had on the way to making your models really stand out and POP! Thank you.
  22. Folks, if you visit Mr. Hamilton's archives, you will see he has made more great progress: http://public.fotki.com/khamilton/models/playland_penny_arcade/
  23. Luke, here's the first of several videos I hope you will find helpful and will perhaps answer some of your questions. If you check out my archives, you will find a couple of other how-tos. Let me know if you have any questions. Best, DC
