  1. Do you do anything special to get your bench back in shape and in order? I tend to clean up maybe twice a year (and normally in the Spring) to get the bench not to look as messy as it does. I think model builders come in two types: The Felix Ungers (neat) or the Oscar Madisons (messy). Of course, many of us are some where in the middle too. Spring is here, the bones and muscles are warming up, it's time to get some more building done.
  2. Folks, just found this and I thought for all those of you wanting more information (generally speaking) about airbrushes . . . . Hope you find it useful! Thank you, DC
  3. For those of you always pushing the boundaries of your table top photography, here's a wonderful series . . . enjoy. PHOTOGRAPHY VIDEO
  4. Other than the fact that he has the syrupy gloss of enamel running through his veins, he continues to produce some wonderful paint jobs (not to mention that EYEGORE is totally besides himself!): Again, for those of you who might wonder why I'm always posting pictures of Donn's in progress builds, it's because he doesn't have a photo archive and so he sends me the latest of what he is working on (an exchange I truly love and appreciate because I get to see what the Old Man is up to), and I turn around and I am glad to share it with you here. In other words, I have his permission to do so.
  5. I'v also made a few videos that I hope will be useful for those interested in mixing paints . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTmTuWw3H4o:
  6. You can get small paint measuring cups from EZ-MIX, and they have the right mixing ratios . . . paper or plastic depending on what you are mixing. Cheap stirring sticks and some mesh screeners and I'm good to go.
  7. Glenn, buddy, I think you've hit a nice homerun with this one. Love the color, the engine, everything about it just screams HOT ROD to me. Nice work indeed.
  8. Nice work on that engine!
  9. Nice on both counts!
  10. Wow, nice progress, keep it going!
  11. Nick, you are right, this is NOT a new kit, but the extra seat could be gotten by simple having a spare kit. I mean, that's not really a deal breaker for me.
  12. Hello folks, I just found a copy of this kit at my local hobby shop and I decided to do an unboxing video of it. If you are interested you can check it out at my YOUTUBE channel. For those of you running low on the 41 Willys kit, this is certainly a wonderful addition to your collection. Best, DC
  13. Beautiful, Harry.
  14. I've always loved this idea. I started one several years ago and never finished it:
  15. That's looking good. Keep it going.
  16. How you even begin to figure out the scale for it, amazing. Can't wait to see them on the line. You are now totally engrossed in the smallest of details, and the payoff is wonderful.
  17. Ira, would you mind posting a few more pictures over in UNDER GLASS. I'd like to see this one from several angles. Great job. Beautiful model. Thank you.
  18. The more I look at the engine parts, the more I like it and think it'd be a great transplant engine for a hot rod.
  19. Great collection in the background, Brian. We will all lose the battle against the dust, unless you seal them all in individual jewel cases.
  20. Here are the coupons: http://weeklyad.michaels.com/stores/1551/coupons
  21. That looks like a nice model. Like the color, and of course the interior shot.
  22. Sure will, it's looking good. Can't wait to see what else you do to it.
  23. Good things require time, Derrick, take your time but get them done! LOL!
