  1. That's because you haven't seen me in my overalls or my impending Halloween custome! Wait until October 31st!
  2. I'm surprised nobody has come up with a good A.F. moment so far today? Also, for those of you who remember all those wonderful special A.F. issues of the magazines, feel free to post your favorite. Happy A.F., everyone!
  3. Wow, what a variety of model subjects. Very nice. Thanks, Junior, and congratulations on your awards.
  4. I've always thought it's a Hemi, and it's one of my favorite kits and one of my favorite kit engines.
  5. Kyle, I love those builds. Thanks for sharing them, I copied some of the pics over to the next PROGRESS VIDEO. Joe, thanks for the revised list. We are holding steady at 123 builders so far. That's a great response indeed. And to think we have about 6 months to go!
  6. Man, that's looking good, Ira. Love the colors, and the helmet with the decals is wonderful. Keep it going.
  7. LOL, great pic, Ira. Hey, why not? It's all about the fun. It could happen in the future, drag races with wheeless vehicles.
  8. Thanks for the "bump," Jeff. Yes, I think it's a good idea, but LOL, I had forgotten all about it . . .
  9. Wishing you a great birthday, George, and I hope you will receive many gifts made of styrene! Cheers, DC
  10. Ed, I get your point, but remember too that for a long while everyone gets into the model building just for the fun of building not the photography. It's an art and over time it develops like all the skill that are required to build a nice model. Many people also either don't have or can't afford the right equipment, and they also need to read up on how to take better photographs. This of it this way, without the forums being around and the advent of the digital camera, many of us would not be taking photos at all. I know that I hated having to take those rolls to have them developed, etc . . .
  11. Jim, that's some of the best flocking I've seen on any model. It's beautiful. Great job on the color too. Nice build, buddy.
  12. I had nothing to do with it, I confess!
  13. I don't mind paying a bit extra if the quality is going to be this excellent.
  14. Mike, I ended up with a bunch of equipment I rarely use. I think the most important part of taking pictures is having lots of the right/soft light. And a good sweep.
  15. Here's the link for Amazon. I hope you got it cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/Rat-Rods-Roddings-Imperfect-Stepchildren/dp/1934709212/ref=lh_ni_t
  16. I gotta check it out for my collection. Is it possible for you to show the cover? Oh, you know what? I'll look it up in Amazon.
  17. Ed, the way I look at it, it's a learning process for all of us. I started out taking horrible pictures, in part because I knew not the first thing about it, and over the years, you pick up some tips here and there. I think we all have room for improvement, always, which is why I keep posting these vids wherever and whenever I find them.
  18. Makes perfect sense to know that it'd get to you whether it's fire or flood.
  19. Looking forward to it, Donn. LOL, Jim, what's wrong with the way Donn's wife dresses him?
  20. Great weapon and gun details, Rob. Very nice. Good going.
  21. James, I likes the look of that one. Makes me want to build another.
  22. Terry, he sure is. Donn must be fishing or working today when he hasn't chimed in. I know he's been experimenting with the Pearl Ex and Donn's always trying to come up with new colors. Skip, I'm sure Donn will chime in soon. Stay tuned in.
  23. I knew you'd give a good thorough look through, Mike. Thanks. You know me, I'm always looking for better ways to take pictures.
  24. Thanks, Patrick. Mixing paint should not be stressful.
  25. What Doctor Cranky's Bench Looks Like: Definitely time to clean up.
