  1. Wow, you are lining up some great builds there, Evilone!!! Congrats!
  2. Wow! I love all the details. Wonderful job!
  3. Progress update: I got all the engine parts painted and they are drying so that I can start assembling the engine shortly. In the meantime, I put some final touches to the back of the vehicle, and retouched the red eyes on the skull. I need to paint those little raybeam spikes around the skull in green.
  4. Some last minute graphic details and now it is on to the engine and wrapping this one up!
  5. Thanks, chaps. Thanks for the comments and support. Hi, B. Yes, I am still working on the layout, but with many many distractions!!!
  6. Here are some more pics with the right details in the interior . . . I'd love to have a yellow rubber ducky somewhere on those seats, but you can't have everything, right? Gee, I hope the colors are right on that hat!!! I guess the Joker likes violence & PLAYBOY!!!
  7. Harry, keep your eyes rested. You need to see clearly now. Evilone, this vehicle will probably make its public debut at the BAMA show in March, and from there it might go on up to the NNL East.
  8. Oooh, I like the way this one's looking!!!
  9. I got the tail lights done and installed . . . I think this is all the progress for today. Tomorrow is another day . . . Here's a beauty shot . . . I can't wait to finish the engine and get it all in there . . .
  10. Don't squint too hard or you might get cross-eyed, or worse, you might start seeing Unicorns.
  11. I'm mocking up the chassis with the body (without the engine) just to get a feel for what this thing is going to look like, and I think so far so good! Here's my favorite shot:
  12. Nah, Evilone, it won't be there . . .
  13. Well, Harry, I hope you WILL see the skull shifter with the jester cap on! Jim "Hollywood" Fernandez just gave me the idea . . . It's an extreme closeup, but here's a better picture . . .
  14. Stay tuned in for some new progress pics . . . all I have left to do on this sucker is finish the engine and drop it in . . .
  15. Think 1968, Harry!!!
  16. Harry, perhaps the template was a bit larger for this scale. Here's one of the pics from a different angle. Look closely for human skulls on the front seat. I think they are easier to spot in person . . . although unfortunately once the interior goes into the body, nobody will be able to see a darn thing.
  17. More work on the interior . . .
  18. Oh yeah, I remember that line: WHY SO SERIOUS?
  19. Oh, I likes it. Nice fade. Very cool.
  20. Beautiful work, Bob, and beautiful pictures . . . yes, a simple set up is often all you need to take good quaility pics!
  21. I like it. Nice work on the individual licks . . . vehicles with these kinds of flames always look ultra cool to me!! Congrats.
  22. I'm also working on the rolling chassis . . . the tires and wheels are done . . .
  23. Here's some progress on the interior. I used the smallest of Craig Frasers skull templates to ghost some skulls and bones all over this interior . . . it's not really going to be seen, but I wanted to get them on there . . . I was really aiming for some contrast in all that dark interior . . . I also painted the firewall . . .
  24. I know what you are going through because it's taken me a few years to get there myself . . . Here's my first set up which I built with pvc piping and it was so hug because I wanted to be able to photograph my dioramas . . . of course, it ended up being too bulky and in the way . . . Then I moved on to this one, a bit more portable: Then I moved on to this one, but needed more light: Finally, I got plenty of lights . . . and so the system became totally reliable time and again . . . The trick is to keep experimenting . . . phototaking is about having fun too, and getting good results, not about stressing out.
