This is a very good read. Well done and I like the truck also.

Nice work ! Hits the spot when thinking about going to Toledo Speedway to watch the winged sprints on the paved 5/8 mile track. Yes I know dirt is better but the local track is paved.

Very nice looking Lowrider . Not over the top , a nice change of pace .

Talked to a friend of mine that has a 1985 G body Cutlass . He told me that the Buick and the olds share the doors and roof with a different rear Quarters and deck lid.
Yes the side windows in the rear are different so is the front clip. The olds and the monty have the same frame. not sure about the buick.

That is a good looking Car , what a shame that you have to hide this one after one show .

I was hoping to find a picture of this truck in paint . I drove a 1990 form 1990 till 2005 . Put a few miles on her 240,000 . If I could only find another swb that did not have the rust mine had when I scraped it.

They have been running LP / gas trucks that my brother drives for years in Toledo. They are small block chevy engines with a 4.13 gear. They lack power when it is cold if you use the LP . He states that you warm the truck up with gas then switch over. If it is below 20 you will not make it up the hill when truck is loaded with papers on LP . Yes it is rather flat around here so once you get up the hill you are good to go on LP.

An old build up should work better . Now all you need to do is wait for someone to trade .
-
Very well done !

This is awesome Ira ! You could scratch build some Boss 429 valve covers for that block (you have the talent) . Yes I am a ford guy. LOL

Being from a large family we had many Pintos . My dad drove a used 71 or 72 with a 1600 and a four speed, with Firestone 500's on it . Yes the were one of the few good sets of them out there . He drove 90 miles everyday for work . He had the car for 3 years or so and it had well north of 100,000 miles . My brother turned in the tires for his Pinto and Firestone gave him good money for them.WE had three wagons one runabout (see above car ) and a couple other hatchbacks. So yes I would purchase a few kits if they came out .They are to much money on Ebay .

The first model kit I ever built Was this 75 Pinto. Put in the 429 per my brothers helping hand . Still laying around someplace. Here's my contributuion to the thread, I built this one about 8 years ago from a sealed AMT 75 Pinto kit, Built completely stock, with the 2.0 OHC engine and a nice shade of green to give it that 70's feel !

Nice work so far . Looks like a winner to me.

Nice car.

What can you say about work that holds up
well for this long ? Awesome !!

Would a straight pin or a sewing needle work here for the bolt going into the head ? Just glue a piece of hex stock on the end .

Very well done . Just wondering if the grill is a cut down 34 ford pickup custom grill?
Revell 1969 Camaro with a touch of custom. Okay maybe more. Update 4-1-12

Keep on gluing up these kits young man . At your age my brothers were helping me at home, or should I say building my kits with me watching them . They did not want me making a mistake. Good job so far on your progress .
