Tires for the Watson and Lotus the awful 2-piece things. Norm Veber has 1 piece replacements at RMCM. Originals hard to find.
$5 is a steal.

If only there was a way to merge the threads-Wait, mod panels have that very ability. Nah, better to have info scattered everywhere unless it's of interest to the mod.
GT40's are awesome cars, and many people used them as street cars back when they were kust "old race cars".
Wish Round 2 would dig up the Mk IV and even find the one hit wonder J car in the vault. Apart from the easily fixed rear deck, the MPC Mk. IV is great kit. One of the first kits I tried to build prototypically back in 67-68 as the LM winner.
MPC McLaren you got is nice kit. Wish it was 1/25, but glad it's around. The Accurate Miniatures McLaren is a "difficult build"
Get a Fujimi Mk II for the McLaren/Amon 66 LM winner, and the Gulf 1075 for the 68-69 winner. Great kits, you'll feel good building them.
Good luck, enjoy yourself.

Hasegawa CS stinks. I had SR71 given as gift with complete short shot of clear sprue. I sent EM with pics of kit and sprue. I
They wanted receipt, despite fact it was a gift. I'd never ordered anything from them, I offered to pay postage. Woman acted like I was robbing them. I told her I'd throw it in the trash. 4 months later I got the sprue. Sold the kit. Never again. Have a couple complete car kits of theirs, but I'm done.
R-M is great, as is Tamiya. AMT has always been ok, sometimes better than others. I've always been nice, no reason not to be. But this person was awful.

The Get Smart car had the 13" compact car ww in it. The awful skinnies were in the first issue of Tiger in 70's I guess, and the wide stuff too. They look OK on a Jeep or dune buggy, but stink otherwise. I was bummed when I saw those in re-issue.

Hey Bill
Big bold type so you can read it.
Glad it went well. Cloudy should subside, it's inflammation and re-attaching.
Hang in there, stay comfortable, and you'll be down the road.
All the best from me and tons of others here.
Magnify your screen to read, but rest.
Keep us posted.

Didn't they have some Road Agent bits in them? Engine, some other parts? I thought I'd read that on Dave's board. It'd be great to get some of these back. Moon Mixer was cool. Never showed up in shops when I was kid.
Nice build Dave, and whomever built all 5 above. Showrods are great. Glad some people keep pushing

Good luck Bill. Surgery for this and eye in general has come along hugely. Sounds like good plan by docs, and you'll do it.
Ask advice about how to stack pillows. Sleeping face down is to keep gravity pushing on the retina to get it to re-attach.

I've got a resin 57 that is clearly based on an AMT, it's decent for what it is. I forget who did it, they did 73 Cutlass too.
I'd take a curbside/snap that would be bashable with the 56.
-
Yessir, the Stingray, the 57 SS, and the Buick Y-job have been completely ignored by resin casters. Andy did the SS way back in the infancy of resin IIRC, and the built up I've seen was gorgeous. I have some other stuff of his, and it's always nice.
I have a Mako I set aside as well Bill. Expect you're closer than I to doing something with it, and it's the closest we have. It was painted red and in an Elvis movie too, so double hit. Curbside would be great, or even a resin brick at this point.
I've got that P/E set, it should help with both I and II.

Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie site.
Useful how-tos, and fashion tips.
Always wondered about the Mayans and the Druids. Kinda missed out on the concept of breeding stock and natural selection.
-
The original had etched flush gas cap in same spot later issues had a raised hump for a non-flush gas cap. Also, the original issue had Mark IV on either side of hood bulge. The exhausts were full, all the way out the back, square tips. Later issues had side pipes. Seats didn't have molded in seatbelts. Wheels were the turbines with knockoffs.
I agree a builder works. Wheels and exhaust most noticeable, sanding the gascap and scribing new flush one is easy. Great looking car. The snap Mako 1 was cool too. The Mint car was the bubbletop shown. The silver car is the 59 Stingray concept that has never been done. THe Mako I was the non-bubble top open car. THen the Mako II is obviously last pic.

You're welcome. Glad everyone answered your completely non-specific question with specific examples.
We'll all check your preferences next time. Then tell you to google it up

Same kits. Same parts. Molded in color in small boxes it seems, and white in big box. Art print, some detail/history booklets, and maybe a display.
That's it.
Kinda been discussed in past about the 65 GP, the Munster's kits, some others over last few years here.

The Mayan calendar is nowhere as tasty as an Oreo when you dip it in milk. Fail. Can't these guys verify that as easily as I did??

I've considered spoons for front fenders, and whittling laminated plastic. P.retty far down the list, sadly, but a great looking car. I could live with a brick/curbside if accurate and actually delivered.
No way we'll ever see a kit. Pipes are excessive, but so cool. The Hotwheels version is nice.
-
That is fantastic. Such a great racer. Crushed everything.
This and the Stroppe/Denver Bronco are killer versions, scored fenders with rear flares easy, like Hemi Dart.
Again, Wow. Stunning build.
Thanks to Revell for issuing this truck. Long wait.

The MegaBloks is huge, probably 20" or so done.
I'm probably harsh about the RS. Jaded but lucky guy. We love Legos, their F40 and some others are nice.
Orange not a fave color, but I'd not seen the camo. Black hides my concerns too. There's a Dragster we have somewhere with some huge rear tires, maybe that would help. Still, closest thing we have.
1:24, Welly did a nice 997.1 RS, and some Chinese company did a 997.2 RS, car not as good as Welly, but graphics nice. The Minichamps 1:43 and the 1:18 are nice, as is the 997.2 RS 4.0. Wish someone would do a kit. Odd that nothing current is out save the 918. 919, 991, 718,... No current BMW save the Revell-Germany E92 M3 DTM. Last M3 was the E36 by Dragon, and the new E30 M3 coming from I forget whom.

I like that better, but the gaping holes in front of HL and the tiny fender vents just not what they can do. Their VW T1 camper is quite nice.
My 12yo son looked at the orange kit a few days ago and he rejected it
I do like the black/camo version. The 4 parts must be the wheels, they do look good, but wish the rears were bigger.
The 2 most amazing things about the 1:1 are the fender vents (they really work, as extended rain driving and tracking showed me
), and the enormous 21" 325's stuffed into the fenderwells with the intake in front of them. Brutal. Kinda lost on the Lego.
As a lust object, a 991 TTS, a GT3, an RS, a GT4 all would be sellers. Huge sellers. Molded in Ultraviolet, or a nice white, the RS would sell to anyone if it fell together like the original Tamiya 935. Open the 1:1 engine lid, and I see 2 fans, the oil filler, and the radiator cap. Nothing else. To see motor, use a lift, or pull rear bumper. Curbside vs. full detail is actually moot.
Mega-bloks did a Ford GT ('05) that was awesome, a few molded body parts, but rest was blocks. It was amazing, Mine still sitting on shelf looking wonderful. Hope they do the new GT. As close as I'll get to a 1:1 for now.

Jocko Johnson's Moonliner. Begging for resin, I've never seen one. Some Hawk thingy rubber-band car similar, but too killer for "close enough".
-
It really doesn't look very good, certainly not for the money. I'm quite surprised there is no kit or good diecast of the RS yet. There is an overpriced 1/43, and a TBA Hotwheels, but zip otherwise. Car is dead ringer for early 935 pre slant nose, and is a bit faster and more hp without snails on it.
There's a 997 GT3 R kit, but a 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 and RS, 991 GT3 and RS nada.
I've a vested interest in getting a kit.
Won't ever see my dd in a kit though

Cool info. I've seen the low on some but far more mid. I'm too old to remember. You always have great ford facts. I learned something ?

Bill, I'd kill for a 61 300. Tried to buy nice one off auction place, it arrived with WSF broken to bits, was perfect in photos. Back it went, it was stupid money. Canted lights were killer.
Here's thread with best engine for a 300, 61 or 62. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/114668-chrysler-413-cross-ram-in-1962/#comment-1653837
