  1. seeing a few 4x4 projects made me want to do one so heres the 99 F150 Lightning 4x4 or as ford now calls it the SVT Raptor using model rear end and springs added styrene blocks for lift tranfer case from a 97 F150 4x4 kit all i got for now well need lots of help for the front questions/comments welcome thanks blue504life
  2. thanks guys mustang- i have so many bodies for the evo chassis (both car and truck) the list would look like a paragraph. ranging from a 1970 BOSS 429 to a VW new beetle for cars, trucks range from a 94 lightning to a half-track vizio- the GT500 5.4 with out the charger? must look kinda weird
  3. hey everyone this is my first project thread and first real model (my other stuff is R/C) (all pics will be replaced with better ones tomorrow) basically ill be starting with a AMT "RIDES" 65 Galaxie the idea was simple build a galaxie to resemble my uncles real one so i started by trying to figure out how to add a simple 302 under the hood had to cut part of the trans tunnel out and lower the rear transmission mounts uncles has chopped pipes so i did that too then found a motor from something else i had laying around 5.0 from a 93 cobra kit i believe that looks good, but really isn't enough motor for this tank looked at all the other kits i have laying around to find a better motor and found a Revell 07 GT500 kit and built the motor no paint for now so thats where i am now, not really sure how to finish the mounting of what ever motor i use, suggestions? thanks blue504life (Shane)
  4. haha i was hoping you wouldnt ask that well im into the later foxbody era mustangs and to me the simpler the paint the better so the yellow stripe although this car can pull it off just looks funny with the red most of the black on the front cap should be body color, only the head light bezels should be black i wouldnt have done the hood decal but it works on this car the "SVT" on the deck lid, nice addition but in 79 the Special Vehicle Team wasnt even though of so a "SVO" logo would have been a little closer to the time line (although SVO wasnt until 82-83ish) well im done complaining about this awesome build heres my 80 turbo cobra thank you for the opportunity to speak my mind on this car
  5. beautiful car, looks nothing like the 1980 kit i have. theres a lot of things i would have done differently, but hey its not my car, looks great though
  6. nice focus(es?) RS(es?) where'd you get the kits from? would you mind adding a few pictures of the underside and drive train? i have a 1:1 SVT focus and one of the models just want to see the difference
  7. that is beautiful, i have now decided what colors with R/C thunderbolt will be.
  8. i now use the superclean stuff, i have it about half water half cleaner. the paint started to come off as soon as i set it in the box, about a hour and a half later about 85% of the paint was gone really really cool stuff
  9. thanks, yes it is a xmod, i have many that i will very slowly post hahaha, it sure seems that way
  10. Here's some a few pics of my 1950 Ford F1 model kit converted to a R/C truck started life as a model now rests as a real working truck, i will get some pictures of the chassis once i get it back from being built thanks questions/comments welcome blue504life
  11. well yeah to a sertent extent, if you get in to it, let me know ill help the best i can
  12. well as you all know every model is different, the chassis comes with a small spacer to fit the body that comes with the chassis, in my case a 05 mustang. when you first start out you buy extra spacers and add them together, or take the time to cut styrene to fit it just right better shot of chassis, streched
  13. its fairly common actually there radio shack xmods the chassis is infront the orange car, that is an old broken one
  14. thanks to all Zukiholic old revell i got off ebay and no its a xmod, cant afford a mini z fordh8r yep a r/c, the chassis is a 1:28 and body a 1:25 the hood fits pretty good, i think when i moved it the hood moved Robert81 yep its a evo dryvr12 model to r/c hanks again for the comments
