  1. Oh I have seen that kit a zillion times. BTW you should get a Photobucket account, it's free
  2. Thanks.
  3. Christmas Vaction what? The "Wagon Queen Family Truckster" was from "National Lampoon's Vacation". should be pretty cool project I'm a big fan of the SJ Body style of pickups, and Jeeps.
  4. Well here it is folks, I finished it up today during my lunch hour. It's a newly bought "Clean" used '94 GMC Sonoma SLS, with 125, 500 miles, it was orignally purchased in Montana around '94, but found it's way to Indiana, were it was sold to a used car lot, were it was bought again, by now it wasn't as shinny, had a few dents, but the body was pretty straight and didn't have any rust or bondo in it, sure the interior was dirty and a bit worn and the underside of the body was dirty, greasy, and rusted in some spots, it was a good little truck. So it was bought and hauled home, now it was Tommy's Daily Driver, Tommy works as a Forman for a small construction company (hence the dirt and gravel dust ) That's why Tommy needed a Pickup. Anyway back to reality, This is the AMT kit. I think this is one of AMT's best there A huge amount of detail in this kit. I painted it Aplle red with a grey interior. not much extra added, but a red tool box and some chains. Any questions that you have about how I did something, just ask.
  5. Thanks, to be honest Kevin I have no Idea were the toolbox came from, I know that the hand tools are from the 3rd release of the AMT '53 Ford F-100, and I got some parts from it from Modlblr, the toolbox I "THINK" came with a bunch of stuff that I got from Bob Bauman in our last trade. I'm gonna get some good pictures, then post this in the underglass section.
  6. Sure, remember the PM's were I told yeah that I had nothing against your Idea.
  7. for the custom parts check out resin sellers and contact me via PM for more info on that subject as for the GTO kits the ones I know of straight of the top of my head are the Revell/ Monogram-'64, '66, '68, '69 AMT/MPC- '65,'67, '70, '71, '72, '76, '04
  8. Those are great Walter!
  9. These kits aren't extremely hard to find, mostly because there's 29 gazillion versions all based off the same basic design. Just gotta get the hood cleared then I'll take some pics and post them in the under glass section.
  10. Yep for this build I didn't do anything but paint them.
  11. now that's a plate, Manatee and all.
  12. Looks kinda cool, not my taste but still cool.
  13. Looks good, funny enough it seems most Nicholas' build a cop out dragster with a older builder , I too build one of these with my dad and grandpa. mine didn't look that good though.
  14. Wow that's just too cool, I've never seen anyone do something like this, it's cool. BTW the tow truck looks good.
  15. no offense but I've sorta noticed that Erik, but I think that I've only ever deceided to add to a model or repair it never to scrap it or start it over until I looked at my Red dually, the paint job I did stunk, and the body work lacked workmanship, so this time around I'm doing it right. this time around I'm going to do a proper suspension, not one that looks like a snap tight.
  16. Looks pretty cool. Well my GMC is almost finished, my camera is still a little screwy though. I used a Gunk wash, and a rust wash and a dust/dirt wash and went over everything except the outside of the body, added the decals, clear coated it, and ran the tires through some limestone dust and sand I had, only thing that needs done is the hood being painted after it's fixed. Found some junk for it, like a toolbox and tools.
  17. Looks good were are the Nova rallye's from?
  18. Well every time I looked at this truck I wasm't too happy, I didn't like my paint job, the chassis has no detail, and some of my body work, needed redone properly, so last night I started correcting those problems.
  19. I haven't bought anything model related in a while. Been meaning too but I have a huge stash of everything so I was trying to wein it down. well" Enos' daddy ran shine beside the Dukes Daddy's, bascially everyone's daddy ran shine with everyone else's daddy. I've seen "Enos" before infact all 18 epsiodes,
  20. what photo hosting site do you use.
  21. I finished my '84 GMC Sierra 3500 single cab dually, May 31st/'09. Over 6 Months ago, yet today I was working on my current Red '94 GMC Sonoma, and looked over, above my TV at the old Dually, and started thinking, the CB anntenna broke a month or 2 ago when I was dusting it ( yes I dust my Models, some have been on my shelfs for 4 1/2 years), so I pulled it off the shelf and dug into the "Other Parts" bin to get my CB & CB antenna bag out, while doing that a grille guard/ push bar fell out, and some bad lights, next thing you know the GMC has a new CB antenna, grille guard/ push bar and cab lights on it. So I ask the Question is A Model EVER TRULY Finished?
  22. That's a cool Monaco, but I still think the problem was the driver of said car not the car it's self. Believe it or not, I still haven't bought 1 of these kits yet.
  23. I knew I was forgetting something.
  24. Looks good, the color is very befitting of the Rig. The engine is just outragous
