  1. i for one am glad they are reissuing this kit. the price is a little steep but you have to pay to play as they say. i have five of these on preorder and three originals on the shelf. i bought my first one for 45 bucks off ebay in 2002. the last one i bought from ebay was 125 bucks so i guess the new asking price is not that bad.
  2. same kit, different colors and decals. they also made them in orange and silver.
  3. thanks for the pics, congrats on your well deserved wins.
  4. lyle and the guys done a great job as always. thanks for a well run show and we will see you next year. congrats to all the class winners, great job.
  5. this build has around 400hrs total, not to mention all the hours staring at it and scratching my head. i had to overcome some problems but was very happy with the outcome.
  6. is this contest just for car models, or will there be other classes such as commercial? i would like to attend and site see in that area of pa. i build and compete with 1/24th scale heavy trucks. thanks in advance.
  7. i think it would be nice to have a section for pick ups only. this battle comes up all the time at contests also. i do not feel that pick ups belong in with the big rigs. i understand that the header says trucks, but this section is dominated by heavy commercial builds. it's not fair for pick up guys to have to wade through posts that really don't interest them. same goes for us commercial builders, we don't want to see a bunch of unrelated posts to what we build. not trying to start trouble, just offering my view on the matter. hope no one takes offense.
  8. here is the finished set up. i had a really good time doing this build. thanks for all of your support on this build.
  9. i'll be there in the commercial class.
  10. tamiya has reissued the 1/25 t-34. it costs about 60 bucks. i found this one at a show opened but complete for 45 bucks. great price considering it has all the engine and interior detail included.
  11. here is a trailer update for the ford. all scratchbuilt drop deck with hydraulic extending sides. trailer will be hauling a 1/25th scale tamiya british tank. a few more details and odds and ends and the trailer will be finished. hope to have everything done by nnl east next weekend. here are a few progress pics....
  12. you seem to post negative comments everytime you post. i say put up or shut up. the moderators need to get rid of you anyway, but before they do let's see your "great builds". it's ok to offer constructive critisism but you are taking it way too far.
  13. did they ever make a z-31 body 300zx model. i know of the z-32 from tamiya but would like to have the old body style. thanks for any help on this.
  14. the gps unit is my own resin piece, the bracket is sheet aluminum bent on my hobby brake and the cables are bent brass rod painted flat black. thanks for the great comments everyone
  15. thanks for all the great comments guys.......the sleeper on this one is just a curbside. original plan was full detail inside but due to time constraints it didn't happen. i will be doing my 1/16th scale condo inside and out though. that project will be a ways down the road, maybe next year??????? the hood insulation is done using matte aluminum bare metal foil, tamiya chrome silver and a black sharpie. thanks again for all the comments and hopefully i will see a few of you guys at a future show.
  16. the ford 9000 is finally finished and has been to the old dominion open in richmond. it placed first in heavy commercial class. off to the roanoke show this weekend. here are the pics.........
