  1. This is, again, a superb model. Now I have to follow 3 threads. I'm not only amazed by the quality of the builds here but you guys inspire me to try to reach the next level of detailing on my own models.
  2. Uber impressive model. Wowww.....!!!!! And I see your married to!!
  3. I would certainly buy the 1/16 stuff from you, the 1/25-24 stuff looks great!!!
  4. I was only away for a few days just to find out I can throw away all my modelling stuff.
  5. Its not just the moddeling details you added, its the way it looks like its the real thing. Cant wait to see it painted.
  6. I've been following this thread from the beginning. The 1/16 Prudhomme FC was the first 1/16 kit I got my hand on in 1977 (??) in England. It got me started on 1/16 scale models as they became available in Holland (where I live) This is without any doubt one of the most enjoying 1/16 builts I followed. Thank you very much, you are an inspiration as I still have some Revell kits on the workbench. What a pleasure to read this.
  7. Returned from Hockenheim late last night. Qualified 5th buth lost in first round due to bad right lane. But anyhow, had a change to take some pics and quickly made a Fotki album. Link is below. Is my first time so let me know if it doesnt work http://public.fotki.com/hansb57/55-chevy-pro-mod/ Hans Before I forget: The fire bottles in this setup are behind the driver. Charles had them left and right (I think 2, but i'm not shure) mounted next to the fuel tank
  8. I'll take my camera and take some pictures. I'll let you know when i'm back, then you can give me your e-mail Any other pics you need?? (although its no longer Carpenters car they didnt change much at the chassis) You can have a look at www.joostenracing.nl For those in a hurry, i'll upload 2 pics that are a standard setup for door hinges on pro mod cars Nothing spectacular, straight forward. Open the door, lift it up and its out.
  9. I'm going to the Nitrolimpix in Hockenheim Germany this weekend. I can take some pics of the hinges on Charles Carpenters old car. A friend of mine bought it and races this weekend. If you want pics of the real hinges let me know. But hurry with your respons, i'm leaving tomorrow morning.
  10. Hi there, I almost feel stupid. In another thread I asked member Bigwrench if he could take some pictures of SW19 at the DG museum, he kindly did so and just recently e-mailed them to me. Now I have another request for help from the community. After almost 30 years I did it again. I started a Revell Don Garlits 1/16 rear engined kit again. Using all kind of new (to me) techniques. Airbrush, detail master lines, alclad, de-chroming etc.. Now I,m in the stage of applying the decals. The original decals are all yellowed, so I ordered two replica sets through Ebay. I was shocked to find out the white (and this one has a lot off white in the decals) was not printed. There is to much white (some of the lettering is completely white) to give it a white background Now for my question: Is there anybody that has a set of those decals and wants to part with them. Off course I want to pay for them and the shipping (shipping to the Netherlands by USPS is not that expensive) Thanks Hans Brings The Netherlands Mod: if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm sorry and feel feel to move this thread.
  11. A big Thank you for the pictures you've send me!!. Hans
  12. Thanks, I know. Looking for interior, clucth area and rear axle of sw19. I cant find those. Hans
  13. Hi Bigwrench, Was wondering if you had any succes with taking the pictures in the Garlits museum. Thanks Hans
  14. Go to flickr.com do a search on Garlits an go thru the pictures
  15. Bob, Maybe a tip for you. I found a lot of pictures on the photo share sites lick flick and smugjob. Not the ones I need, but maybe a help for you.
  16. I would love to have some pics of the following. 1) Interior (SW 19) 2) Bellhousing/ 2 speed and centre section (SW19) 3) Interior SW13 4) A straight down shot of the decal on the front wing, so I can make a decal out of it. (SW13) 5) Shot from the back of SW13 with the lettering and decals Say hello to Don, he has a BIG fan in the Netherlands.
  17. This would be great. My personal wish list Swamp rat 19 1) Interior 2) Bell housing area 3) rear axle with 2 speed and centre section Samp rat 13 1) interior 2) shot from behind, with decals and lettering 3) Straight down shot of decal on front wing (also on SW12) Any of the above will do. Thanks Hans
  18. That would be great!! The wynns decal on the front wing is the most important to me. If you could make one a straight from the top as possible. If you have time left one of the back of the car (with all the small lettering on it) I'm double pleased. Have a nice trip there!! Hans
  19. This is indeed the decal I mean.
  20. Hi James, Thanks for your respone. I tried the internet for a long time. Even send an e-mail to Wynn's But no luck.
  21. Hi there, This is my first post here. I really enjoy going thru the topics and seeing the quality of the builts. I'm trying to finish my Don Garlits Swamp Rat 13 model. One of the last things I need is the Wynns decal that's on the front wing. Maybe one of you has a good quality picture of it, in a straight angle. Then I can get started making a decal out of it. My modeling skills are avarage and not nearly as good as a lot of you show here, but I would love to get it finished. Thanks Hans The Netherlands (yes some of us know what drag racing is overhere)
