  1. Made the gear doors from sheet brass pounded over a socket.Actuatirs were from the parts stash.
  2. Made the airlerons out of 1/16" Aluminum..took a while.
  3. Yep a little excessive but the clamps did do their job!
  4. Mocked up the landing gear and was surprised to see she sit properly.I guess the vac form.plastic is thinner and lighter than normal.styrene.The true test will be when the engines are installed!
  5. Cut the openings for the wheel wells abd made them by wrapping a sheet of aluminum around a 12mm socket.I made flanges to allow them to be installed.Took awhile to figure out how to do that.
  6. Atrached the wings to the fuselage with brass tubing I flattened slightly in my bench vise.I used JB weld to secure them.I will add putty to smooth out the joint.
  7. Sounds like a great kit! luckily I had a spare nose wheel wheel well from a Revell 262 kit.Cut a slot on the underside of the fuselage and made it fit.
  8. Painted the resin engines flat aluminum.. I suspect that may be repops of the engines from the 1/32 Revell 262 kit.
  9. Working on the vac form AR-234. Lots of work to achieve good fit..
  10. Lots of work thus far to get the fuselage halves joined up!...Compared to the 1/48 version it is pretty big!
