I'm using the Revell 2'n1 sedan..
-
Here is a few pic's of how I lowered the front end , I sanding down the leafs it turns it in to a mono leaf spring and lowers the front I also C notched the frame to get a little more clearance. And here is the rear axel. The tubes had to be longer so I cut off the tubes @ the housing and drilled out the housing inserted plastic rod and cut to length and fitted the mounting pins from the kit on the end of the axels.

Hi, Olarge1 here, Im in Chrlotte....
-
I dialed in the suspension tonight, I had to make the axel tubes longer, and I found that a little c notch in the frame helped me get the front extra low but still allowed room for the oil pan to clear... tried a new wheel and tire package. What do you think?

I had so much fun on my rat rod that I thought it needed a friend, so I chopped the top on this sedan today. I’m thinking suicide front end, Z'd rear, channeled and suede green paint.

thanks.. I used .100 styrene rod and a little heat to bend alot of trial and error I found that its better to leave the pipes long and once you get the fit on the block then cut the angle.

Looks nice, what color are you going to paint it?
-
Wow...I love this build...great stance perfict period hot rod, great job.

Laid down some color, the pic's dont realy show the gloss i think due to the heavy metal flake. still need to wet sand and polish.. interior will be two tone light and dark gray.
-
Slow but steady, had to fill the Corvette script on the engine covers, the color is Tamiya Gun Metal gloss I think it looks like a charcoal gray metalic?.. sprayed the mist coats today also , need to wet sand then shoot the wet coats to get the gloss up.. dosent look like I will make the NNL, boss man says I have to work but who knows the flu just might be going around by then...LOL

I was was trying to find a way to sand and polish small parts but found that most sanding sticks were just too big! So I cut up some old sanding sticks and super glued the the sanding cloth to some styrene rod. I angled one end for small flat surfaces and the other end is used for geting in to curved areas .. it has worked great for me and thought I would share

A little progress ... finial primer coat wet sanded ready for paint, and started the LS1
