  1. I have found that with the sophisticated finishes, you need to let the base coat dry compleately, then just after applying the top coat place the part in a zip lock bag and close. Place under a lamp to let dry, this creates condention in the bag and helps the rusting process. Here is a break drum that I did this way, hope this helps it is what has worked for me!

  3. Ok time for bed.. 11 hr drive tomorrow fuel pump painted plumbed and wired.
  4. I shaved the center down a little @ a time till i got the fit i wanted .. I also had to clearence the inner fender well a bit but not much here is quick pic .. hope this helps..

Thanks Guys , Appreciate it , any comments are welcome, Got some color on the Chassis today hard to tell from the Pic the difference in the frame rails (gloss black) and the floor pans (semi gloss) the difference is subtle but noticeable, front coil springs in.. every thing is coming together.. I have to go out of town for 10 days…so trying to get as much done today as possible
  6. love this one! cant wait to see it finished. here is one i did last year, its a amt 67 camaro with a b.b. 427fi, with full wiring and pegasus wheels . Thanks...nice 67' that big block is sweet finnished the mock up on the rear end and did the door pannels.. So much to do and so little time
  7. Thanks, The seats are from AMTs 57 Ford Fairline kit they come as a custom option, I think they work well for a Pro touring look .. I think Im going to re- do the door pannels I just havend decided what I want yet.. thanks for the comments.
  8. Going to stay with the coil overs on this one ..made the fuel pick up and pump tonight, will work on the front end tommorrow

  13. I did think about it I was looking @ these thinking i would need to use a flaring tool to make the cups? might be cheaper to just buy em'

  16. Thanks guys , I might have worked something out...I used the coil overs from a 32 ford kit and cust the top and bottom off used some 14 guage wire for the shock body and 1.0 mm solder for the coil...What do you think?
  17. The NNL Summer Classic is 8/22 and has a Pro touring theme this year so I thought I would do a Camaro, I took apart an old project I never finnished and started mocking up a 4 link suspention .. I need to get coil overs? any one have any ideas on how to make some? Or a good place to buy?

  21. Yea I have stated before that the farther I get in to this build the more its looking to be a an old rod that has fallen in to dis repair... but it is my first atempt @ something like this so Im sure there is a learning curve.. still a big step away from the glossy show cars I usualy build.

  24. Looks like Im going to have to build 2 or 3 motors, till i find the one hy fits having trouble visualizing it? So i will start with the Flat head ..need to get some pics of the carb set up to finnish it off
