  1. A quick build for me is about two weeks. thanks for the comments.
  2. nice build! it sometimes is good to build something a little out of your zone to get the ideas flowing again. i like trucks and muscle cars and am about to start a lowriding 64 impala. looking forward to seeing "christine" done and under glass.
  3. if the stance is going to stay like that then i vote not. the roof looks in proportion to the length of the nose. IMO.
  4. just a quick build. it is the uptown kit. not much for underside detail, i painted it gm metallic black, grey interior with orange piping on the seats. the wheels were painted metallic graphite grey just to be a little different and not as sinister as the usual black out cad. feedback welcome.
  5. just wondering if some one can help me learn to scratch seat belts? i was wondering about materials and where the buckles and stuff were found. thanks in advance.
  6. is that the MPC kit? i just picked up a 1980 monte today and it is the mpc and i dont know if i can do a lowrider with it cause all the suspension is molded in and i dont want that much custom work on it.
  7. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats a little inspiration to get to building mine. wont be that detailed though...wow!!!!!
  8. lower!!!!!!! make it lower!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol! looks good.

    My 1981 Z28

awesome!!! i love the early 80's Z28s. i have had two and an 84. i would love another one when i can afford to build something 1:1 again.
  10. i agree about the hood, i built the same one and used furel injection and my hood didnt sit right either. your car looks good.
  11. This is what i would like to have in 1:1. 86 Monte Carlo SS with a TPI 350 motor and in gun metal grey. the only thing i would do different is the wheels, i would like something a little fancier and the car to be a few inches lower. feedback always welcome. enjoy!

    72 Nova SS

here she is. painted honda silver, the hood is custom by me from a camaro hood, small block with a fuel injected supercharger from an AMT/ERTL 68 elcamino. enjoy!
  13. they both look awesome to me. i really dig the headliners.
  14. the paint is duplicolor honda silver. i dont remember what the name code is though. as for the motor, my dad wanted a replica of his 68 elcamino so i swapped in a carbed 396 from a chevelle kit i had. i figured i cant waste a good supercharger.
  15. got some work done this weekend, i didnt realize that silver is not easy to paint. all in all i am happy with the progress. i also found some headlight glass that i can use which makes me feel better about this project as well. feedback is always welcome.
  16. very nice! i like to see your builds on here and its good to see you back. keep em coming!
  17. wow! very nice. where did you get the driver?
  18. thats a nice truck! what scale and kit is it?
  19. a few more pics. I needed some hood clearence for the supercharger so I cut the middle out of the spare hood that came with the kit and added the cowl from an old junked up 69 camaro convertable and all is good for clearance now.
  20. this is an AMT kit and i am not 100% happy with it. it has no head light glass and full side windows. also metal axels and i am not the biggest fan of those but i am going to give it a whirl anyway. the wheels are from some aftermarket swamper tire sets that i ordered and rubber is from a restomod 69 chevelle kit and the motor is a supercharged small block from a 68 el camino kit i built for my dad a while back. feedback is always welcome.
  21. looks real good! how did you like the kit? i have this one and i didnt enjoy it. i actually didnt finish it but may rob some parts for another build.

    LowRoder

looks good. i may have to try that one.
  24. ha ha ha!!!!! the truck in the background is actually a silverado 1500 that i did a IFS lift kit in a while back, but the paint job was botched and then i misplaced the rear windows so it really never got finished. now it has donated it's engine and the tranny for the truggy build. i was going to stuff a 396 in it but i thought the vortec 5.7L was a little more fitting.
  25. some more work got done today! i think i am addicted to this thing. i got the engine and tranny fitted today so i got to move on to more tube work. i got the striker bar on, cut the original shock buckets and radiator support off and got my shock hoops built and installed. Also got my new radiator mount installed on the upper part of the tubed back half of the truck and the fuel cell mounts.
