  1. Just pulled this one out of the garage this morning. I had built several of the Lindberg SS's and decided to make this one a little different. This is a bench seated Malibu in Aztec Bronze with a Fawn Beige Interior. I used the bench seat out of the Revell wagon and split it for a 2 dr. Used Keith Marks decals for the emblems and then put the 327 out of the 66 Nova in. Also I used a resin hood, but forgot where I got that. This is a nice detailed kit to build, but the body drop is always a real treat and that front grille and bumper can be a pain to get to fit tight. Hope you like this one.
  2. Thanks for the info Bill. Not sure about next Saturday, but I do want to get down to MAMA someday. Also thanks for the info on Mt Wolf. When I tried to find it it showed it was way up in PA by route 80. York is not that bad, probably about 70 miles from here.
  3. Thanks for the info and invite Andy. I did look up Mt. Wolf, that would be quite a way for me. But you never know. When do the meet at Mt Wolf? I did meet Dan last night at the SilentTraffic meet. I thought he also mentioned something about a club down around York, PA. Are you familiar with that one? I do plant to get down to a MAMA meeting sometime in the future. Sure great to meet all of the new folks and see some of their super workmanship.
  4. Those are some amazingly realistic looking builds. BT, I really like your detail, even the inside trailer walls look like it has been used and things rubbed against them. Can Am, if that figure was not in the photo I would have thought these were advertising photos of the real equipment. Very, very nice builds.
  5. After wondering how many model car builders there were out there I have finally found hope. There are several and close to me, but you just have to drive a little ways to meet them. I have just come home from the second monthly meeting of the Silent Traffic Model Car Club in Trappe, PA. What a nice club with super nice folks. And they draw a crowd of about 25-30 people at their monthly meeting. This is a great club and if you live in or around the Southeastern part of Pennsylvania it is well worth checking out. I have posted more info and some photos I took at last nights meeting on my website if you would like to check them out. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/purvissp1/images/Trappe.htm
  6. Here is one I did a couple of weeks ago. This is a Monogram kit that I picked up some time back because it was cheap. I liked this kit real well. Nice fit and detail. Liked it so much I went right up on eBay and bought another to build later. The kit comes as a 2 dr post but very easy to remove the post. May build the next one as a 2 dr post. Hope you like this one.
  7. WOW! That baby is awsome. Looks like you could get in and drive it away.
  8. That is 2 pretty serious modifications you are working on there. They are looking super so far. Sure would like to see them when you a finished with them. That kind of project would never stall me. It would stop me dead in the water. (LOL)
  9. Here is one I just finished yesterday. This is my last white build for awhile. Decided to break down and clean the airbrush and change colors. But It worked out great this is a stock color combination for this car. This is the Revell kit and was nice to build, good detail and nice fit. Hope you like this one. Next one will not be white!
  10. Wow, I sure wouldn't call that a simple build. All that chassis and suspension detail is enough to give you a headache. You are did a super job on this one. After this one may be time for a real break. Like a curbside. Nice Build.
  11. I have never seen that kit built before. That really looks neat and you did an awsome job on the build and finish.
  12. Here is one I just finished up. This one was molded in that dark maroon styrene. What a pain. I paint with Testors Enamel and never prime so it took a lot of slow dry coats to cover that maroon. The other little problem was ocationally the glue would melt the paint and that maroon would show up again. This is bow stock except for the dog dishes. Those were some I resin cast from the '66 Ford Fairlane kit. I have another of these kits that I am gathering parts to build as a stock 289. Hope you like this one.
  13. Wow, that's a little scary. Lucky you didn't get hurt. Hope you get it fixed and that doesn't happen again.
  14. Here is an old Johan kit I traded from a friend to rebuild. This was not a glue bomb, but had been built back in the 70's and was in need of a rebuild. I did have to jazz up that engine and little bit and upgraded to a Max Wedge. I build mostly stock. Hope I don't bore you with stock builds.
  15. I think that looks great. What kit is that?
  16. Wow, that looks good. I got one of the Badger double action some time back and could never get the hang of it. Plus it was a lot harder to ckean than my old Badger 350 single. You are off to a super start.
  17. I was going to post what was new when I was born, but I couldn't find a photo of a horse and buggy. I'm 60.
  18. Looks like a pretty good group here. Looking forward to seeing some of your builds and picking up some good tips. Hello to all.
