Thanks a bunch guys. This plywood trailer build will be an extra detail for a 2012 NNL East build. It's only in the plannin' stage as of now. Another member asked about wood grain on the tips section of this site. Lots of good info there also. I gotta get buildin'... Many thanks,Smokey

I haven't done a resin kit yet and need to do one... It looks to me like Perry's and R&R have 79 Malibu wagons. Does anybody have any info about them or any others. Thanks for any info,Smokey

Good question...Great stuff and info... I just asked on the diorama section about 1/25 plywood grain... Hey Ron W, Those surfboards are beggin' to be wood grained. Have fun,Smokey

Thanks Highway, I'm not worried about the "ply" look as much as the grain to look in scale. Maybe along with the natural grain and paintin' some grain will do. Photocopin' a picture of plywood is another thought. I better get off of the computer and just start workin' on it... I see you on here pretty much. Thanks again for your input on this site. Smokey

Hi All, I'm not into doin' a full diorama yet but, I'm addin' small diorama type things to each build. Like the car on a trailer or a figure with the car. I would like to build a utility trailer with 4' x 8' plywood sides in 1/25 scale. I'm lookin' for suggestions for what to use for the plywood. Thanks up front, Smokey

Yekoms replied to Yekoms's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks guys, Duh... I got the idea of a 67 Impala after commin' home from NNL East. I could have found everything there. -

I asked for spray booth info a little while ago. Do an advanced search on my posts and you'll find it. I tried to drop it on this post and screwed it up... Smokey

Are Old Model Kit Prices Dropping on Ebay?
Yekoms replied to impcon's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ebay/internet made me realize that some "rare" things are not as rare as I thought that they were. An example being after going to many model/toy meets in my area, southeasern Pennsylvania, there were no Uncertain T kits to be had. After ebay/internet connected more people that kit shows up almost monthy. Smokey -
Tell me about your spray booth please...
Yekoms replied to Yekoms's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks very much for all of the info. I'll have time later to go through it better. It looks like lots of good stuff. I hope that others find this in a search when they need it also. Smokey -
Rodder's Journal did a story on it. I'll look for it and post more info soon. Smokey

Does the roll cage look too big?
Yekoms replied to oldman23's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Your bar looks OK to me. If you thik that thinner down bars would lighten' the look go for it. One more good thing about moldelin' a 60's drag car is that things weren't "standardized". Smokey -
What kind of wood did you use? Smokey

What staight axle for a 40 Ford Gasser?
Yekoms replied to Old Gasser's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think that the Wild Willie Borsch kit had a round, straight axle with a transverse(buggy)spring. A lot of funnycar kits had round, straight axles also. Atleast if I'm wrong someone will corect me and you'll get your info... have fun,Smokey/yekoms -
Hi All, Are there any kits of 20's,30's cars that had the spare tire wells in the front fenders. I'm buildin' a 1/25 of a 1:1 Model A and it has those wells without the tires in them. Does anybody have 2 or 3 of those wells in a for sale or trade spare parts box? I'm trin' to get this build finished for NNL East. Thanks,Smokey

1/25 wire wheels from what kit?
Yekoms replied to Yekoms's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks guys...They are for an NNL East build Yep Tedly I'll take them and replace them 'cause I'll be gatherin' more now that I know what the're from Thanks again to all,Smokey -
Hi, What 1/25 or 1/24 kit has wire wheels like a 1935 Ford wire wheel? What kit are the wheels in the picture from? The black ones on the left and in the tire are molded in light gray. They have a inner piece, outer piece(painted black) and a chrome rim (I think) The white one looks to be the outer piece with the rim moulded on it. These came from a parts box and I would like to find more of them. Thanks,Smokey

Nice build... If you do a windshield how about a dull, hazed, red or blue plexiglass one... Smokey
