  1. A tough looking bruiser, that's for sure! The blue is particularly striking; does it represent a "standard" Peterbilt color? Scott
  2. Is it safe to state that you don't want to paint the chassis the color of your choice? Scott
  3. Fellow Addicts: I had such unexpected positive feedback about the Frame Assembly Jig I used to start building my Italeri 1/24 Peterbilt 378-to-379 Conversion I decided to post the topic by itself just in case others might find it useful. Here are several pics of the Frame Assembly Jig I built to make sure the frame is straight and flat. I glued (with thin C/A) 1/8" X 3/8", 1/4" X 1/4", and 1/8" X 1/4" spruce strips to the back of a flat, 1" X 3" poplar sanding block. It works great for Italeri 1/24 Peterbilt 377 and 378 frames; just slip the parts in place (interference fit), apply Tamiya cement, and weigh-down with weights. I don't know, yet, if it will work for the Freightliner-based frames in other Italeri US truck kits. No worries, however. This jig is easy to make! Scott
  4. Dave and James, Thanks gents for the information about the tires. It helped a lot. I found the items on the KFS website, Dave, and I sent a private message to you, James. Cheers, Scott
  5. Tim, Thank you very much for the straight-forward answer. It is exactly the information I was seeking and helps me make a few decisions about trailers... like don't sweat small differences in non-contest settings! Cheers, Scott
  6. I discovered that Italeri once offered/still offers their truck and/or trailer tires for sale in tubes of 12 units. Does anyone know where I can buy a tube or two of these tires? Thanks again! Scott
  7. All, So I tried to obtain answers to my questions by using the search function in this forum, but no joy. Pardon my ignorance and thank you for your patience. (1) Is there an obviously detectable difference between 1/25th and 1/24th scale? (2) To get more options without resorting to scratch building, do you all mix 1/25th and 1/24th scale tractors with 1/24 and 1/25th scale trailers? Scott
  8. Tim, Thanks for the heads-up/update about your website. Wow, yet another "success" story vis-a-vis one's web host/provider. I would not be too amused myself! When you rely on them, technology and tech support is just fantastic, until they're not. Hang in there! Scott
  9. Hello, Tim! I'm having trouble accessing www.timstrucks.com. I don't know if it's my issue, but wanted to let you, and others on the forum, know. Now returning you all to your regularly scheduled program... Scott
  10. Beautiful Peterbilt! I assume it's the Italeri 378? I also noticed you loaded her with cedar "logs"; your shop will sure smell great and the moths won't eat your trucks! Scott
