Steve......I am really enjoying this build.........you are doing a FANTASTIC job ..........thank you for the plug about my steering wheel........but, actually it is a MR. Clay Kemp`s method.........his work is a big inspiration to me.........I am just glad he shares his work with us...........can`t wait to see your next up-date

Hi Brian.........it was a slab of cement that a park bench sat on.......I used a corner of the slab for the photos........thanks

Hi bill.......I got the resin body from Ebay about 3 years ago.........it was a solid block of resin.........I bored it out......to have a chassis underneath.........the guy who was selling them was also selling some other drag stuff.........he got up-set with some of the buyers and canceled his Ebay account........ wish I could have bought a few more bodies from him before he canceled his account.........thanks

Hello........this was built a few years back..........I bought the solid resin block body on Ebay..........I used a small cutting bit to hollow out the body........I wanted to have a full plumbed chassis underneath the body........H.O.K. black with custom made decals.........chassis and canopy scratch built and allot of parts from parts box.........thanks for looking.

Hello.......thank you all so much for the kind comments.........I did not know what engine was in the truck........ so I used a 289 from a Monogram 64 Mustang Indy pace car kit........I liked the gold accents from the 1:1 pace car.........I thought it would match the truck and it would be a decent engine........I did allot of modifications to the engine........I made a coil,fuel pump,vacuum ......I modified the carb and air cleaner.......I also shaved off the molded linkage on the trans, and made new linkage.........I used "Pro Tech" spark plug wires and looms, detailing wire,nut and bolt ends, and rubber fuel line........I painted the gold accents with chrome Alclad first,then I airbrushed Alclad Golden yellow over the chrome Alclad........thanks for looking.

Hello........thank you all for the kind comments........I got the chassis together ........painted H.O.K. gold.........shocks,traction bars painted Alclad........I got the brakes plumbed using "Pro Tech" T` fittings .......I modified the wheels and got them attached.......I made a compressor,air tank ,air bags and brackets........plumbed and attached.......I got the gas tank painted Alclad and used a "Pro Tech" fuel cap.........I made some battery cables and modified the carburetor........I will build the engine tonight.........thanks for looking.

Hello.......thank you all very much for the kind comments.........I did some work on the bed........I made a gas tank and a cover for the airbags .......also made a interior for the bed..........I got the tail lights mocked-up.........I also modified a steering wheel ,steering column from the parts box......got the glass mocked-up.........I made a battery tray and mocked -up the battery and master cylinder.......I also made some wheel well interior panels........thanks for looking.
