I'd rather use my airbrush to shoot primers than the color coats themselves, that's how important the base and foundation are for a good final paint job. :wink:

Interesting project bro, I am basically in the same boat you guys are in the only difference is that I happen to have my hobby room in the laundry area of the basement and even though I have a finished basement the laundry room is not part of it so I have to put a small heater in there and in really cold days it's not very efficient. Can't wait to get some warmer days or better yet summer time......... :cry:

There is the Mighty Mopars of Orlando, Performance Model Car Club of Ft. Lauderdale, South Fl. Model Car Club and Suncoast Model Car Club of Sarasota Fl. This according to a Scale Auto Annual of 2003 I have at home, can't promise you they are still in existence :wink:

I had one of those kits too, I always thought it was a beauty also, something about the body lines on that car that make it pop out.......

Yes brother, it was from I believe a Franklin Mint Chevy pickup someone handed me which had different little items to fill the bed with......I don't know but personally I like these simple looking sleeper vehicles of that era. :roll:

Actually, this model has seen a few meetings and shows my friend, I built it about two years ago. The paint, well I visited a crafts store near my house (Michael's) and they had some spray paints very similar to the Plasti-Kote spray cans and just happen to fall in love with that color, I think the name is Forest Green or something like that and on the label it said metals. Went home, shot it out of the can and finished it with I believe Plasti-Kote clear, rubbed it out and this is what you see. I will try to bring it in to the next CPMCC meeting, I don't think I will be able to make it to the MAMA meeting tomorrow........Thanks for the comments bro :wink:
