  1. Here is my first attempt on mutl colors. You can see the haze in a few spots but Im done with it so Ill keep going on the rest.
  2. Well that small mistake is now holding me up.This was suposed to be a quick build nice n easy for a break from the tri drive but alas, no such luck.I do not have a paint booth so have to paint outside. The blue is Nassau Blue Metallic from testors. Its a base coat lacquer which i didnt know Testors had.It sprayed great even outside. Then I sprayed my clear and well there ya go.
  3. A few pics real quick.I love this blue.
  4. Wow man looks awsome!!!!I was wonderin when u were gonna finish this 1.I like the 377 as a SFFA.
  5. Ok so Ive got some progress but hit a snag.Ahhhhhh!!!!I hate humidity!I shot my base coat and was shooting my clear and wouldnt ya know it, it hazed.Only two bad spots on the left rear corner of the cab and front left of the sleeper, where they meet.I cleared with dulpicolor clear, my question is could I wet sand this spot out.I know its a paint question but thought Id ask the truckers first.Thnx for any help.
  6. So I just got this in the mail.It was cheep and I wanted to build one to see how they are,the 25th scale models that is.I prefer 24th cause they are usually better detailed factory and bigger.Although this seems pretty detailed.Ideas or opinions on colors or certain tricks for a better build are welcome.
  7. Wow thats cool.So is this a real truck or imaginary? Not poking fun Im serious.I like what you did with that model. Is that a good model stock, Ive not built one yet.
  8. How do I get one of these cabs.I want one. Good luck on the build.
  9. Well first thing AWSOME!!!Second is Orange hmmm not a lot of choises for the frame. Now Tim did a Pete(PACCAR Tractor 389)some time ago Blue with a gray on the frame, its a idea.I do like the yellow idea also.Another thing look at Tims recent 359 Yellow cab/sleeper black chassis very nice.My 2 pennies. Now please tell me, is that cab 1/24 scale cause the wheels look like Italeri wheels and I wanna build some 24th scale COE Petes. Nice build BTW.
  10. That bumper looks sick.Im not a fan of Roo bars but that one is sweet.Yes yes that looks right on that truck.Keep going.
  11. Thnx Les.Got some better pics, and got a bit more done to the tri drive.Everything on the frame was completly disassembled suspension, braces, swaped the front suspension took a little idea from Mr Pete himself(Tim). You can also see the gap between the front fender and tire.Unfortunatly Im leaving it this way cause Ive already taken this stuff appart before and dont wanna stress the plastic too much.
  12. Wow dude!!!That make my tri drive look tiny with a capital TINY!LOL! Sweet build man, Lookin very good.
  13. OMG that is rediculous!!! For some guy behind a desk to go"Hey, you guy there building a model of a motor that we put in our real vehicles you cant make a scale vesion of that to put in your model to display proudly so that when sombody says "hey nice truck what kind of motor" you say ..... They should be proud people want to build scale versions of there motors... My 2 Cents
  14. Not to steal the post but If I use the 377 SBFA front suspension on my 378 SBFA will this be the correct position for the suspension?
  15. So the wife had the camera and I ahd to use the phone for these but here are two pics, first the frame stripped new front suspension(SBFA) and rims mounted and painted.I used spazstix for the first time and think it came out ok.I poof canned the black so the chrome didnt turn out as smooth as I wanted, the next time Ill use the air brush for both. And the second pic is of the new hood porky sent me I sanded and worked on it a bit not much.I did take the grinder to it and got rid of the fender lip and put a strip of plastic in.Now question does the cab stay in the same place with the new hood,I would think it does but Im not sure.
  16. Well its cool n all but Id rather buy the two kits they have for a bit more money and end up with extra parts and such.I do like the stripes in the kit, but its like buying the two and using parts from each.I was kinda hopin theyd do sumthin differant.Im not complaining though its still cool.At least there is a new kit out soon.
  17. Yes sir matt it does have under hood detail.Yeah I figured out the hinge thing last night while foolin around with some chassis details.Nice hood btw.
  18. So macattack the brake fluid worked but any other paint would have come off in a day or two and no scraping.UGH!So chassis was disassambled and dipped got the new wheels and a new hood from porky which is awsome by the way(Thnx again).Just gotta figure out how to mount it.
  19. I must say I wasnt sure bout the drk green till I saw it waxed but now it looks really good.I also like the other one.Its not the usual yaknow its diff.
  20. Got the old front end off, broke a spring on both SB and SF front axle(both glued to chassis')but all is well both came out ok so on to stripping the rest appart and giving it the BATH!!!!MWAHAHAHAHAHAahahahh....oh uh sry.
  21. I agree with the sharing more info on how to...lol.Tim does very awsome work and the fact that he has made so many different versions withe the same kit is great.
  22. Wow dude,awsome build.It looks very correct.
  23. Another I started to redo is my TriDrive.I was lookin at it one day and said...man it needs to be a day cab and have really big front wheels, so..I think the frame is gonna get stripped and I my SBFA it Im not sure.It depends on the paint, how well it comes off that is.Whats good for enamel?
