First question is does everyone have this little green box at the top of their screen thats says--- loading...---the whole time they are logged into this forum as I always do,and secondly when I try to PM another member after I click the small PM link under their avatar or picture NOTHING HAPPENS,shouldn't I be getting another window or post box that opens for me to send them a message????????????

POSTING PICTURES GETTING FRUSTRATED
mustangman replied to mustangman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mike I have a Fotki acount,I think what I may have been doing wrong was going to the picture properties and copying that code and trying to insert into my post, what I didn't understand is why when I upload a pic directly from my computer of workable size as a thumbnail and was able to insert it into my post why the thumbnail would never open or enlarge, even when I click on someone else's I get the same results,I haven't been active on any forums for quite some time and now realize alot has changed,my apologies I'm not the most computer literate person in the world as most can tell,I am going to try AzTom's approach, thanks Randy -
I would really like to know how you can post your pic like this,Ive had nothing but problems since I joined and can only post to the gallery, doesn't matter if I try to obtain them from my Fotki or my computer,I wanted to post a WIP but finally just gave up,loks nice............

POSTING PICTURES GETTING FRUSTRATED

I have been having alot of problems with pics on this board,I have been just taking the pics back off my Fotki rather than trying to find the disc I stored them on and putting them in a folder on my Pooter then uploading them,I never have the thumb enlarge for some reason and even when someone else posts pics that are in a thumbnail format it never opens for me,I also always have this green laoding bar at the top of my screen everytime I log into this forum ???,I am going to try the method u are using and see what happens.I have pics I would like to post and share but get sooo frustrated I just don't bother, sorry for the long read and thank you for your help............ -
What do I have to do to get my pics to show up at a legible size,I'm uploading them from my pooter at reasonable pixels and they attatch as an attatchment and when you click on the attatchment it never enlarges or shows up ??? what am I doing wrong, how do I insert a pic in my post or multiple pics like others here are doing,I just aint pooter literate enough I guess, any help would be greatly appreciated.................

These are pictures, scans you name it donated to me and aquired via the Internet with special permissions to put these out there for people to enjoy, these are over 30,000 images so you didn't look at much or were in the wrong albums, unfortunately no originals that are available, better have a cup of coffee or energy drink when you sit down and go through all these,LOL

I'm sure this has already been posted before but it was recommended to me by a man that just does super weathering jobs and has a couple examples on you tube when you get time to chek them out (how to rust a model car)any way he referred me to a product I just love better than the first alternatives we had and it is called Sophisicted Finishes. This stuff works fantasticit enables you to rust, bronze, patina, dirty, and mix things up for a very realistic piece when your finished,I will try to submit some pics in a couple days for an example, these can be found at Micheals craft store and are around 15.00 to 20.00 a package, more to come, thanks,Randy

On washes and shade type detailing, and this is my personal approach.I use the Higgins india ink,as it is easily cleaned up with water it can be thinned that way as well,on grills i use it undiluted, allow to dry and simply wipe off, comes right of chrome, also Tamiya makes clear Amber,Blue,Red,Green, smoke paints that works great for tail lights and marker light,Sharpies are also very trick because you can get them in various colors, sizes & tip sizes that are super for anodizing or even in dire straights color correcting where you might have sanded through a closely matched paint, for door, trunk hood seams and things like that I use an .005 Pigma Micron black, they also make other colors and larger sizes and this cleans up with water as well, and If you want to detail your tires raised white letter you can get Gel pens in white which are also water clean up,Names .ie Gelly Roll-Galaxy Marker-Marvy Gel Excel, these are what works for me and all these can be gotten at an art supply store like Michaels,Hobby Lobby or store in your area, hope I didn't bor you with the long talk,Randy

I have 2 original AMT 1969 Chevelle kits that feature the RATMAN in Green & Yellow on the boxart, both have undated front bumper/grill combinations and I know the rear bumper was dated 1969 and all the other issues did not. Here's my question, each original kit has 2 different front bumper/grills,both unbuilt but opened when I got them.1 bumper/grill has cut out openings beside the marker lights and the other has what was an opening filled,I don't see many bumpers with the filled in area and even the boxart and later boxarts always show the bumper that has the openings, does anyone know which is correct for the original kit,any help would be greatly appreciated, Randy

You can also try some of the satin finish clears, their not too glossy and not too flat either, they allow you a little middle ground,,,,,,,,,,,,,, -

I,after 3 years have decided from just way to many requests to reopen my Fotki drag albums again,I will be dooing so slowly to test the waters so to speak as I went through alot of unnessessary hardship a few years back for things I was accused of doing that I was not, have not and never did or would do,I was also cleared by the US Inspector Genreals Office,There is a wealth of drag rcing pictures, cars, engines,a ton of history to be gained from these. Now the down side, you will not be able to click and save any pictures, basically just browse the albums in search of what you might need,I sincerely hope this will be as great as it was sveral years ago and a few bad apples wont ruin for the bunch, just go to my profile and click on my Fotki album link and start lookin, best regards,Randy Izatt
