  1. Im just 18 years old (in March) so im still at school, mech school that is, in 2,5 years ill be a certified bodyworksman. It was my first choice due to cars is all i know, and since i allready knew how to fix the mechanical bits, why not learn to fix the sheetmetal aswell? Hoping to have a custom shop in California one day tho. Thx for reading
  2. Yeah... now that ya say it i guess so... Now thats about what i want to agree on, allthough i do think that the flag in a way also stnads for being a proud redneck as well, wasnt the war much between the northern cityfolks and the southern farmers? Well, i knew it was a bit of a hot subject, and i was as a matter of fact a little afraid what i would stur up when i opened this thread, but as ya say, were all pretty mature guys and can have a sophisticated debate about it. PPBPPBTBPTPBTBBBT!!!!! What the flag symbolizes to me is a kind of a rebelic freedom, the confederates were freedomfighters for all i know, so THATS what i think their flag really symbolizes, and if KKK and the nazi scumbags read this ya can all come here and try to kiss my ***, ill wait on my porch with the flag on my shoulders and a shotgun on my lap. Just a humble oppinion of a foreigner.
  3. Thank you for the good replies boys! I guess most of my assumptions was right, but i still wouldnt walk down the streets of Harlem with a big Stars and Bars tatto on my neck tho.. lol Someone made a comment about the flag being a redneck symbol, that applies here too... lol, we take pride in it!!
  4. Hi, ill just get right to my question, i know it aint really modelcar-related, but i hope its allright, this just happens to be the only place i know there are alot of Americans to ask about it.. Over here, in Sweden, the confederat flag is a symbold of the so-called "Rockabilly Rebel" aka raggare/ragger lifestyle, so its just a common thing to see in connection to American cars and good music, (not that sh*t that the average Joe listens to, but real good Rock'nRoll!) But back in USA im told its a completely different thing, wich sounds reasonable, but what i wonder is WHAT, and how do people look at the single star banner and the confederate one?
  5. o.O AWESOME!!! Allthough i would have used more batteries, for a four pump system, and a flipnose + trunklift, (maybe those open manually tho on this one, i dunno.. ) GREAT BUILD!!!
  6. NAAH! the pic just aint there man...
  7. Nice build, but why arent ya posting under the "on the workbench" or "under glass" sections?? And im sure alot of viewers would appreciate some words and details on the build aswell
  8. Thanks! i didnt know that! Edit: Btw, i wonder if those weathered ones were used as the one that hurley found?
  9. Oh gheez,, thats so sad, i could never see myself doing something this heavy, she dont even look very old.... Great work anyhow!
  10. Thats going on my desktop! Thanks for sharing Gregg, great photo! Damned the TV network for moving the show to one of those satelitechannels.... i havent been able to see Lost for the last year....
  11. More wagons to the forum!!
  12. I love the Pegasus Helas, they got that oldschool look, i would definetly say that Pegasus Helas or T's are a good choice. They both give a mild custom look, and matches a car such as the -58 Impala. I love the stance, and the paint is a great match! Also fun to see that im not the only one who this kit doesent like, mine almost killed itself....
  13. Hes not lying ya know....
  14. !! !! Thats the way to go!
  15. What?? I thought the body was the coolest part of it
  16. OH, MY GOD!! AWWwwhheeuuhhmm,,, where does one bagin... that is amazing,i love that dashboard, and the detail on that engine is great, but wouldnt an car this old have textile-isolated wires?? /// Jay-Lo, -48 Lincoln Club Coupé owner.
  17. Well thats a great choice! Once again; i love that colorcombo,, and that sparkly silver!! o.O shiny.. ,....
  18. Well i like the choice of car, what plans ya got for this baby? Allthough usually i like oldschool choice of wheels, this definetly is a good choice! I love the massive topchop!
  19. About a year back i started working on the Revell 94 Impala, everything was going great and i was just about wrapping up the whole project with just finnishing the interior, removing the maskingtape and clearing the whole thing to do. So there i am pulling the tape off, and noticing something, it just tore the paint's and primer off, down to bare plastic! I was pissed for a while, but got back to work, removing paint at the damaged spots etc. But while i was sitting there looking at it, i decided i wanted to do a little bit more with it, so i shaved the handles, mirrors, trim, etc. Installed a liftkit i built myself and some underbody"neons", and modifying the headlights and taillights and more... So in the end, allthough its not finnished yet, i ended up more pleased with the so far result, and im hoping to get back to work with it soon! Thanks for reading!! ///"Jay-Lo." Before: http://upload4.postimage.org/1779364/photo_hosting.html After (right now, sol far): I dont know what happend with this photo, it appears very dark, which was not the case....
