  1. Hya people, ive been thinkin lately, im a BIG cragar fan, n it would be real sweet to know exactly wich cragar rims are availible in scale, im fairly sure that my favi r330, aint out there but, well, a chart of whats there would be sweet! http://www.cragar.com/Wheels.asp
  2. Okey, ill have a look at theese dimensions and see if i can machine some rims to 'em, what ya want in exchange?? And also, i need some help with this build, anyone knows a way to make bolt heads, i want to make em for the front rims, and ther shocks?? Also would like some ideas of what to do with that lower edge off the seat it looks very bad like it is now: Anyone got ideas??

I like were this is going..!..
  4. GHEE!! Modelmartin, Those tyres wud be way cool!, ya got any dimensions, such as rim diameter and outer diameter??
  5. I like what i see, apart from its breaking my spirit to see how bad i build myself.....
  6. GHEEZ!!! Damned nice custom, and a well done build! BTW, where do ya get sum o those tyres?? Bet they dont come whitewalls wit orange lines like i want tho..
  7. Hans, i wouldnt know really, but it said on the site that it was a 64.. I vote volvo, i mean thats a mean wagon...
  8. Thanks for the praise, and the little story, now ill have to add a bigger engine... About the tires i think ill add sum big@$$ studs later on.
  9. Well i kinda think, or hope this thingie is my own invention, so im calling them Scrappy-######-creations or MOWEs (Mudracer Or What Ever). Were looking at about 10 wotkhours in total here i think. Handwork "sheetmetal" from plastic cans and rollbar from cotton cuetips. Fueltank and rear axle from peterbilt, and suspension from scratch, and scrap. Simple nos-system, was rebuilt later... "UPDATE 1": Scratchbuilt shocks and Italery decals. A fuelpump was added too. Fuelline and rebuilt nos-system. Chevy engine started, built from revell 59 impala and AMT 58 Impala. Little details... More enginework.. Engine fits well after a little work, the trucking mirror goes well on this build. First enviorment pic, and last photo i got right now!
  10. BTW, this is the car that is getting those functional hydros ive been talkin bout in the "tips, tricks and ideas" section, should have it fixed up this week.
  11. Wow! Flocking rite out o da can!
  12. Well i dont reckon anyone remembers that green impala i started months ago, basicly i messed up the paint and put it on the shelf, well actually a box under my bed but... Anyway i picked it up last week and re-started the progress. I shaved the handles, the trim and the bumpers along with the mirrors as i wanted to from the beginning. It will still be that applegreen and silvermetal, but with some simple lowrider graphics on the sides. Heres what ive done so far, first re-paint in primer, second round of putty and sanding, will be sanded and re-primered (hopefully last primer before paint). ___________________________________________________________ Ok, its time for an update: ive basicly only done more sanding, and removed the SS spoiler on the back. (I hope spoiler is the correct term, everyone says differnt things on what a spoiler is) And offcourse i installed the "hydraulic" suspension. And to my delight: it works! Neither the taillights or the headlights really fits well on the body in this kit so im workin them in place with putty.
  13. Well, i have been figuring something AIR-based, like airbags made from those thingies on top of some pens, i have also been thinking about pneumatics, but then ill have to use vaulves and stuff to make each wheel adjustable, and/or have one/four airpumps, i did actually construct a 1/8 scale lowrider using pneumatics and a petrol-handpump from a boat. But, i did figure somethin for the rear suspension out that will solve my specific "problem", wich i will illustrate here:
  14. that IS a great color for a car!, goes well wit flatblack too! Great build!
  15. Well ive allready stripped 5-10 of theese little cars whilst looking for various things, and those solenoids are actually not more than a magnet and a roll of copperwire, not fitted to use as hydraulics due to; they are too weak, and due to the design.
  16. I guess i do have bad taste after all..
  17. Btw, it is called solenoid in english, right? Im kind trying to finnish my -94 impala lowrider right now, and i want to aply some electronic devices, since im making functional headlights to my -59, and Spinning-smoking tyres for my -67, theres only this one idea left, Functional hydros. So im thinking "solenoids", wired to a remote, but i dunno where to get 1" small ones thats only like 4mm thick, im thinking metal pipe, with copperwire (wow copperwire is a lovely word) wired round it, and then a metalrod, attached to a plasticrod attached to it, but how do i make that hold??...im stuck here anyone got any ideas?
  18. Me got this rescuable -Am sittin at home, only problem is: ill need a title... The poor, poor car is what we call a "Skogsvrak", left behind to die a slow and painful death, but shes still rescua...rescuble..rescablelll....###### f**k it!; I can still fix her up, make her healthy again!, Shes a 1975, but i guess the -74 or -76 papers will do to, i must say, this is THE BEST looking firebird, so me being given it for FREE is a sign, not being able to fix it is a pain in the a*s... The reason im asking here is that ive noticed that most of us here are 1:1 enthusiasts, so maybe someone will have, or know someone who may have the title papers. So, if anyone got the papers for sale, ill gladly buy em to the right price!
  19. Hmmm....im gonna make a flat black one with steelies....
  20. Dont tell me that those motives are airbrushed!!?
  21. Ive got a 1:1 tuner-in-progress Saab 900 ,(Yeah, a saab...it was cheap so i had to buy it. ) wich im gonna paint in gloss white from the bottom and up to where the windows starts, where its gonna be flat black with two different green separators and a purple/violet 4" stripe running alongside the white field. (if anyone wonders, ive got the final sketch in the scanner) When i was looking at this idea, i thought, "damned, this is gonna look sick, either completely WHACK or kinda good.... So i thought, i wonder if anyone else on MCM got any of theese kind of ideas done. So whats the most daring colorcombo you've ever done??
