  1. I can show you exactly how to cast that wheel. I will post some info and pictures later this afternoon. Jake
  2. Actually there is a guy who is working on a 300 series rear tire. He goes by Steamboy here I saw a thread somewhere and he posted a couple pictures of a rear tire he has been working on. From what I remember he is going to have it set up where the builder can cut the wheel center out of the Revell Chopper kits and glue it into the resin wheel and tire. I cannot recall when he said he would have it ready but from what I saw it looks like it is going to be quite nice. Hopefully he will chime in Jake
  3. Hey Clint I thought that was you. It is good to hear from you again. Unfortunately I don't have my Jeep either but the passion is still there, LOL. Great work on the Swamp Buggy a while back. I look forward to seeing some more of your builds. Thanks for looking and let me know if I can help you in any way. Jake
  4. Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate everything. Shcumacher, hopefully I am going to have something big lined up for the Tamiya Grand. I have that kit and I have been buidling a few things for it. I am not going to give the secret out yet, but it is going to be cool. Keep checking back. Jake
  5. Thanks guys, I appreciate the good reviews. Mike I am working on a few different items right now. I hope to have them available real soon. Jake
  6. Hey guys I just started this site. I apologize if you have any problems veiwing the site (first time). 1/24 - 1/25 Off road Resin parts and Accessories http://www.freewebs.com/bigjeepzzresin Thanks for looking
  7. 1/24 - 1/25 Scale Off Road Parts and Accessories http://www.freewebs.com/bigjeepzzresin
  8. This is a Jeep I just finished. The build took roughly about 1 week to complete. It has several resin parts on it and the suspension was scratchbuilt. Thanks for looking. Jake
  9. Thanks to Doug, a good friend, I was able to decide what color to paint the Jeep. I got the body painted and I also built the swing-out spare tire carrier. I also got the winch painted and glued up front as well. Hopefully I can get some time to fab up the cage and start wrapping this build up. Only time will tell, thanks for looking. Jake
  10. Well like I stated the chassis is complete, minus the drive shafts. I had to scratchbuild the pitman arm and glue it to the steering box. It actually came out better than I thought it would. I am going to get a chance to work on the body tonight to fix a few mistakes I made in the past. I am hoping to lay some paint on the body tommorrow. We will see how tonight goes. Enjoy the pics. Jake
  11. I resin cast the beadlocks rims and I make the coil-overs out of aluminum tubing. Thanks for the comments. Jake
  12. Thanks Doug and Manny. I got the rear suspension completed tonight. It is starting to come together. I need to finish painting the engine and get it glued in place and the front steering still needs completed. I hope to work on it tommorrow. Hopefully I can finsh the chassis completely and start working on the body. Thanks for looking. Jake
  13. Very creative! Nice job on the paint. Jake
  14. I started this Wrangler about 4 years ago and just about destroyed it. I pulled it out the other day and figued I would do something with what was left. Here is where I am starting. It is going to end up with coil-over shocks, 4-link rear, 3-link front, and all sorts of other goodies. I chopped all the nonsense I didn't need off the frame and I added the brackets I needed for my control arms. I also fabbed up the shock hoops to accept the coil-over shocks. I got the front suspension fabbed up and glued in place. This build is going to look like it is crawling (articulating suspension). I still need to build the steering box and drag link to finish the front suspension. Once the chassis is built I will start on the body. Thanks for looking. Jake
  15. Nice looking rifle, is that a Remington 700 Bolt Action??? What caliber??
  16. Thanks for the input guys. I bought the Aces kit and I have some great ideas. The springer front is definately coming. I am going to do try some tanks, I have a good idea to start from. Wheels are tough and I doubt I can do these, I will give it a shot though. I have been doing some research on bikes and I see some other items I want to make. How about a few different jockey shifters (suicide shifters)? Thanks again for the input and I hope everything turns out the way I am planning.
  17. Looks good. I like the small details you added to the build. I will be looking for the finished pics.
  18. Hey guys I just saw the Choppers in a store the other day and I started getting some ideas. Would you guys be interested in some new parts for these? I am going to pick up the Aces Wild and Crusader kits tomorrow to see exactly what these kits have in them. I do believe I can scratch a really nice springer front end together and cast it. Maybe I can even make them out of aluminum, well see. I am really interested to see what you guys have to say on the subject. Please feel free to list your wants so I can see exactly what you guys would like to see. Thanks and I will post some of my observations once I get a good look at the kits.
  19. As Mark said, most of the stuff you will see from me is mostly scratch built. They do not make model kits the ways I want them to look so I have to put some serious work into them. I waste more parts than most folks realize. I will go out and buy a model kit just to rob the body. The rest will never get used. I usually will take the axles, motor, and body from a kit and the rest goes into a box of junk I will never use. I appreciate the comments and I can only hope that folks who see my builds are intrigued by them. Maybe one day it will get the creative juices flowing and we will see more of these types of builds from others. I hope to get this one completed soon. The chassis started as a pile of .080 styrene rod. The wheels are a set I cast but the beadlock rings ended up being a one time deal for me because of the time involved to make them. They were scratch built using .030 styrene sheet. Thanks for looking
  20. Hey guys I see several folks here that I haven't heard from in awhile. I just now figured out where you guys went to. Some of you may remember me, and some may not. I started working on this Brono about a year ago but lost interest. I picked it back up and so far this is the progress I have made on it. I got the chassis completed and the rear axle built. I still have alot of work to do one this one. Hopefully I can get it finished one day. Thanks for looking.
