  1. If I remember correctly, didn't the Ford Louisville kit have wedge brakes too?
  2. Gee, I must be looking at another eBay then!?!? I've seen probably this same seller with parts for other kits and then scroll down and find THE WHOLE COMPLETE KIT for less than the price of a couple of the separate parts! It's just like the example here, two separate listings = $20, but the ENTIRE KIT, sometimes even STILL SEALED, have "buy it now" prices of $20 or less! You can even get this kit at Walmart for $20, so consider your THEORY BLOWED UP!!!!
  3. I'm sorry but I wouldn't even drop $17,000 for a real one! I'm just glad I didn't eat before seeing the pic!!
  4. The only thing I could think of between inboard and outboard is the way some of the newer drums are out past the wheel rims, like on a set of super singles and I know some of the trailers have the drums past the rims even on dual setups.
  5. Not a problem at all, glad I could help.
  6. I second the Tyrone Malone trucks, I need some Buzzin Dozen Detroits!!! The transporters also make nice long frame custom tractors, too.
  7. Revell DID just reissue that within the last couple years.
  8. Yeah I seem to remember that too, Chuck. I think it looked something like this: I really do have to follow my own advice to Marshall and get back to work on it too, just waiting on some extra time away from my 1:1 to finish getting the model room in order and some extra cash to buy some more aftermarket goodies for it.
  9. Not a problem JT, I had model research in mind when I took the pics, you guys aren't the only ones that want this in the fleet!!
  10. I think some of his products are also made from stainless steel. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the headache rack I'm looking at is polished stainless.
  11. He also has a Facebook page, Rhinos Custom Model Truck Parts. I haven't bought any of his products yet, but he will be getting a paycheck or two of mine soon!
  12. I watch the show every chance I get on METV followed by CHiPS. I actually have an idea to try and build a more modern Station 51 with the newer Trumpeter La France and AMT's Dodge dually
  13. X3 but I'm in the opposite predicament, I have the truck, I just need the bed and the decals!
  14. Hopefully these pics will help you out Richard. They just happen to be a Rodgers lowboy I seen at a truck show, and I even got a pic of the operating instructions decal on the trailer!
  15. There was a version from Revell AG that it was with a Pete 359 (the base kit for the Can Do wrecker) and was the "Prestige" version. I have also seen another combo version in Testors packaging that had two early 80s Camaros on the box art and may have been included in the kit, but I can't remember the power unit for that combo set.
  16. There is a kit of this, albeit a dreaded diecast.
  17. Yep, I still feel anything under 1 ton should be in the car section, just as they are in most every contest I've been to, but oh well.
  18. Then it sounds you AREN'T truly cut out for this hobby or maybe once you get some years behind you, you'll change your outlook towards it! I've been building for twice as many years as you have been alive, and like many others have said, many of these reissues that haven't seen the light of day since you were born, and some before I was born, gives us ALL opportunities to build some early kits that otherwise may be unattainable. Flash is a part of building, and even older tools of the high end imports are going to have it!
  19. At least I'm not the only one that thinks this section should be for COMMERCIAL TRUCKS ONLY!!!
  20. Yeah Jim, but just like the Pete wrecker Revell USA reissue, it was about half the price of the Revell AG issue.
  21. Well, seeing as how the kit's tool is probably at least 2 or 3 times as old as you are (checked your profile and see you are only 16) it's not a surprise that is has flash!
  22. You too LOL! The most I've done to my original is the frame and some of the bed.
  23. Yeah I know, but a couple of my lhs's still have a few.
