Cheers Jedi, Managed to get a bit further with this this evening. I found a can of Orange paint (some dodgey Aussie brand) but I liked the colour so here goes.

Ok, so, here it goes. My first WIP on this BB. It's a kit that one of my kids started a few years ago and never finished. The paint got all messed up and he lost interest. So I'm gonna strip it down and smooth it out as a mild custom. The body shell after a session in the drain cleaner. Filling a few joints, scratches and low points. Ready for undercoat after door handles, badges, wheelarch trim and suchlike have been filled or removed

I like the idea with the gold tint for the a/c canopies. I'm guessing I could add Tamiya Smoke tint to Klear to get the same effect for my windscreens.

Right, so it would appear that the Postal Service is as bad elsewhere as it is here. Thanks for that link Frank, much appreciated. I had a quick squizz and they've got some good stock. As for US based sites, any recommendations guys? Oh, and if you think shipping models is expensive, try shipping Surfboards internationally....

OK, with the cost of some models here approaching the $90 mark (62USD) I'm thinking maybe I should order from the US based websites. Have any of you got any recommendations?

Hah, Snap, I was looking for that too. I checked out the local model shop yesterday for a pin vise and it was $40.00 bucks! that's about $28 USD.

Hey Guys, Couldn't see a new members introduction area anywhere so I thought I'd post it here.... My name's Alan and I'm from New Zealand. I've been checking out the site a bit lately and decided to get involved a bit. I did some modeling way back when I was a kid in the '60s. Some of which I've still got (and are going to be resurrected) Thought I'd start with completing one of the kits that one of my kids started a few years ago but lost interest in.
